I tell you my fellow Christians, that all the sins in this world is accountable to the churches, for if they only unite and upheld free giving instead of buying and selling, there could be no robber and thieves among them, nor is there a chance for athiestic view to rise. The Way of God had suffered abusive speech from the enemies of God because the churches are harlot.
This is a group of musicians from Birmingham, AL. And yes that is Dr. Candelaria. Three of them are brass teachers at UAB and Samford univerty. By the way, believe it or not, this was there first rehearsal for all of you critics out there. By the way ya'll rock.
It's because she's a woman playing brass. Of course it sounds bad. LAWL JK LIEK CHILLZ! Here come the negative comments... I'm going to get flamed by feminists who can't take a joke... the story of my life...
Bravo! What a great group. Is that Leonard Candelaria and Carly Johnson on trumpet?

Sheesh, how about that super-excessive ornamentation on the picc? I like the occasional trill and turn, but this is almost every phrase!
blockdaddy21 4 years ago
wait, tell me that's not the clumsiest second trumpet and trombone player ever filmed...thank God for the first trumpet....
free2pray 4 years ago
@blockdaddy21 Amen to that!
Seriously people, this was written by a MASTER. Yet some presumptuous overly self-important people think their version has something clever to add.
It's like nails on a chalk board to hear such adulteration.
Please just play it LIKE IT WAS WRITTEN.

@Citizen1Media
Perhaps you should read up on the subject of improvisation in baroque music. It was not only common, it was expected by the compoers.

For the life of me, I can't remember the proper title of this piece; I just recognize it as the theme to "Masterpiece Theatre!"

"Rondeau" by Mouret from his "Suites de Symphonies"...you're not the only one to call it that

Beautiful. Balance, style, timbre.
Enjoyed the piccolo trumpet player's use of embellishment.
