  • all right

  • Going to try this next time I hit the mats.

  • Nice man!Never seen before.. can you show some more drills like this one????

  • very nice drill.

  • uh omaplata without the ending shoulder lock?

  • @Damien333 - its a repetition drill to embed the hip movement required into the muscle memory, its not an isolation drill aimed at finishing the sub. Position then submission.

  • @FightersOnlyMagazine Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Could not have put it any better,

  • @Damien333 its a drill

  • speedy Gonzales !!! what's the hurry , take your time to perform a technique .

  • Great Drill - repetition rules!!

  • Excellent drill, Brad.

  • Glad you guys like it, thanks for all the comments!

  • BRASIL!!! THE BEST

  • i practice omaplata from rubber guard of 10th planet JJ. but im glad i found this.

  • favorited

  • Awesome...I need to practice that a lot.

  • This is a very simple and GREAT routine. A lot of schools don't emphasize the importance of repetition drills until it's absolute muscle memory. It should be instictive! It's one of the reasons why ROY DEAN BJJ, Alliance and a select few others are among my absolute favorites and are so successful.

  • I'd used to use omoplata whenever triangle choke fails. It's easy to do from that position. I need to test that style!

  • nice drill man..

  • good drill. I never do an omoplata that way though. I'm a 10th planet practitioner, so the omoplata is set from the rubber guard instead.

  • good FLEXIBILITY

  • Good Hip movement, but I have a question. Should'nt you knock your opponent's hands down to the sides so it's easier to bring the leg over his head? The way he's postured up it would seem like it's difficult to land that oma plata that way. Just wondering about that.

  • Thanks for the question. This drill is designed more for abdominal and core strength, less for an actual omoplata attack. However, once you have developed advanced hip mobility and core strength you'll be able to land omoplatas from open positions like this. Check our official youtube page for a detailed omoplata set-up.

  • Very smooth definitely will be incorporating that drill into my routine.

  • Great drill, but i think there should me more emphasis on kicking the leg rather than hip movement

  • thanks!!!

  • thanks!

  • what is recommended repetition/sets? for drilling moves that is?

  • Very good drill

  • Nice drill alrite, its good how you repeat. Maybe you can make another vid on what you can do to the opponent once you have his elbow locked in!

  • smooth hip motion. . . well done. Maybe show some of the ab work you did that needs to happen to make it look as easy!

  • Good one - thanks =)

  • YEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!

    NICE.

  • nice!!

  • I'VE been tought differently but I will incorporate this drill or show my instructor this drillas it looks a little more effective!
