I bought this phone... wish i hadn't. It is slow, big, ugly, thick and generally sucks!. It has problems with the message alerting sometime. The best thing i got out of this phone was the 4gb sd card (which also is mostly filled when you receive it with junk)

Weird, because I've never had any problems with this phone. I don't know what the hell is this "Nuron", but I sure know that I don't have one. The name of the model that I have is 5230 Black Navi, if it even matters. It should be the same phone.

I've been completely satisfied with it, it never freezes and it's really smooth. The only negative thing that comes to my mind is that it doesn't have Wi-Fi in it.

The best phone I've ever owned (or equal with the Nokia 3310).

I just bough this phone, the Nuron 5230, a few months ago. Before that I'D never had a TouchScreen phone either. I Like the vibration feature when I tap on the screen, it Let's you know performed an action or clicked on a link or webpage. OverAll, I'm REALLY lovin it so far. For its relatively INexpensive price tag, it does JUST about everything and has ALL the capabilities, like msgr/AIM and browsing sports Updates, that I could possibly NEED. All of that Extra crap that these new phones have

Being as I ALREADY have my Own LapTop, why the hell would I go and spend HUNDREDS extra, or whatever the cost is, on a phone Just so I can go to starbucks and pick up a signal to use the web at regular speed on a PHONE? I'd much rather browse the internet on a COMPUTER (you can get a mini laptop for 1/4 the price) with a 15-inch screen Lol..

Dear Reviewer: as a Mac user, I want to thank you for this wonderful review and what it means to me that you compared it on many things. I'm disappointed though in the Nuron's ability to perform those touchscreen things that the iPhone normally can do (like pinching to zoom). Not perfect, this phone is great as an entry-level for the young professional or folks who used to have a Sidekick and want an upgrade or just something different.

@NicoRuthLina just get the micro sd card and put it in the adapter that connects it to the computer and it'll bring up the folders for music then you just drag the music from itunes into that folder and when you're done put the micro sd card back in ur phone and you should have the music

@lukehard242 Its fair. I mean it depends where you are. If you get 3G service where you are then call quality is great, but if its just normal or roaming sometimes it will cut out.

In the UK T-mobile internet is only £20 for 6 months, unlimited on PAYG.

(Unlimited being their description for 1 gig limit per month, but with no extra costs should you go over that limit,just speed cap)

@klintonG no... not really, they wont force it on you... however, you wont be able to back up your data mobily, so calendar, (for one) wont be backed up... once the software update happnes, idk why, but your stuff is deleted... i did that on a sidekick with no internet, cuz it was pricey and ever 2-3 months i lost all my data... (except contacts cuz i used my sim card) it was annoying. they wont force it, but its annoying

Yes u do need internet, go to a t-mobile store in a mall and ask for info dont buy online. I have no annual contract 500 minutes unlimited texting and unlimited web for 50 dollars a month ( without unlimited web the phone is 39.99 a month)

Its very decent on 3g giving speeds up to about 384 kbs. Flash intensive sites take longer (funnily enough T-Mobiles takes F*ing AGES....silly bastards)

Sites like youtube are now optimised so video streaming is great on 3g.

T-Mobile rules in the UK as you can get 6 months unlimited internet for £20 and if you go over the 1 gig month limit, they just cap your speed, they don't charge anything extra which is just excellent. Makes all other companies look like greedy assholes.
