In some Countrys it was call Jetta, in other countrys it was call Vento In Denmarthe mrk 1 was call Jetta, the mk 2 Vento. the mk 3 Bora. Now they are going back to the Jetta name again.
What the posters have stumbled upon is an issue VW AG needs to take note of: Quit "F" ing with the model names. A Golf is a Golf is a Golf. A Jetta is a Jetta is a Jetta.
Here in the U.S., I debadged my '01 "Jetta" trunk and placed a "Bora" logo on the glove box door.
i have a 98 vr6 glx love the hell out of the car but repairing it costs huge, had to pull the motor to change the water pump, and christ the altenator was expensive to 1800 cdn 240k on it though so it expected good for another240k
Its not a Jetta u clown its a Vento, the Jetta was replaced in 1992 with the Vento and the Vento replaced in 1999 with the Bora and then in 2005 the Bora was replaced with the new Jetta
You're the clown mate! It continued being called the Jetta in America and South Africa. The Vento name was a flop as was the Bora. Both should have continued to be called Jetta. Perhaps sales would have been better in Europe if they had.
Consider the car's origins and then you should conclude it is a Jetta more than a Vento. (If you get where I am coming from)
well monkyboy i dont know who was tellin you that story but watever makes u happy. The Vento was the best selling car in europe for its time especially the 1.9 diesel cl version basicly a trouble free car lots of torque for pulling trailers. The Bora wasnt jus quiet as good a seller but not bad all the same.

Chabelo54 3 years ago
Shumager2008 3 years ago
Chabelo54 3 years ago
