theres nothing dirty about that hit. if you watch in slow mo you can clearly see that after gauthier crushes gorges, the elbow comes up. and as for leaving his feet, he had alot of momentum coming into the hit and ran right over gorges. usually when you run over something, or someone, you leave the ground cause youre on top. thats what happends when you charge the zone with your head down. and as for all this avery hoopla, he has been a ticking time bomb for the nhl. but you gotta love avery!

Kings fan here. Regardless of this hit, the refs gift-wrapped this win for the Canadiens. What else is new? At least we only have to play you once or twice a year.

As to this hit, I'm not sure if it is Gauthier's forearm or elbow that actually hit him. Gauthier will be suspended for a couple games and that is all that will come of it.

If there is any good news to come out of this, it is that the Kings won't have Gauthier in the lineup for the next few games. Our defense just improved. :]
