The guard was stupid, he grabed the wrong arm, while he was struggling with him the crazy was waving the gun at at least 2 people and could have easily pulled the trigger, the security guard should had speared him into the wall that way when the guy is falling the gun would have been pointing upward and the impact would have either caused him to drop the gun or stun him long enough to get the gun away from him

What office security guard has a gun? And even if he did the guy shouldn't be able to grab it that easily. Professional holsters (like Security and police have) have a latch, button or simple lock so people can't do that easily. But the fact that he tried firing without cocking the weapon shows it may be real. If staged people would normally either have them not pull the trigger or have it go off successfully.
