what does it matter trick deck,or no trick deck.the effect and acessability are all that matters.i and many other magicians could do this routine without a trick deck, but i think the trick deck could make it cleaner.just switch it in and out.for anyone interested check out, "out of print" by Bro. john hamman.
i didn't mean to say a loser as a bad performer but i hate trick that you performe and shows that you are using a special deck if u did this trick for a normal person he will think it is a prop and not involving any skills. but i like a lot his other tricks specially the roll over aces
The spectator shouldn't see the sleight of hand, hence how would they know you have skill? The point of a magic trick is to fool a layperson, not to fool a magician. Who cares if you use a special deck, as long as it works and the layperson's fooled
that was a cool trick, the handling wasn't as smooth as it should've been. Definitely practice a smoother double undercut. I like the effect though. Gimmick decks are great tools eventhough woowmagic1 doesn't understand that most of the biggest professionals use them. David blaine, Angel, Copperfield, they've all used them in real life situations. Sleight of hand shouldn't be seen by the Spec, hence how would they know if you have skill? Who cares if another magician knows how the tricks done.
Would a spectator that has never had any experience in magic know how the trick was performed or know that it was a gaff deck? No, that's the point of magic, to fool the spectator, not to fool other magicians. Remember this young grasshopper, for this is the whole point of magic. Perform tricks that fool spectators, don't worry if it fools a magician.
A good Magician is able to fool other magicians with kind of smoothness and originality in their techniques BUT you cannot fool an experienced magician who has the eye for the details and may be able to reconstruct the trick and figured it out on his own...Anyway it's still a video! You may repeat how many times as you want till get the truth of this trick ;)
@zackgray82 The point of the magic trick is to fool the spectator. But the role of a magician is to advance the art of magic, which he clearly wouldn't be doing if he did simple tricks and didn't try to come up with and perform better effects that would fool magicians as well.
