  • this review kinda confused me ... first u said that the foundation was very sheer and light and then u said that it was very cakey ?

  • @makeupaddict1000 the foundation is light and sheer when applied, but gives off a cakey look.

  • hi there...I had the same problem and that was with after setting with powder..I really wanted a long wearing waterproof oil control foundation..this sounded like a winner..have u found another one that does it for u???

  • Your skin is so freaking beautiful, you don't even need make up

  • i think foundation shade little bit lighter than your skin you should try 35nc

  • omg I must say you have BEAUTIFUL skin to start with!!! you;ll look good in any foundation!! :D hehe thanx for the review!!

  • I think the cakeyness comes from putting too much on, at least from what I saw. You only need to use half as much foundation.

  • very helpful, thank you!

  • The higher the SPF the more oxidation will occur with your foundation. I'm betting that your moisturizer has an SPF higher than 10 or even 15. This will make your foundation turn orange. This foundation comes with 10SPF. I used this foundation with a non SPF moisturizer and then with a 15SPF moisturizer and my foundation changed colors with the 15SPF VS only using the SPF that came with the foundation and had Noooo color change :)

  • @yummyapple4you oh thank you so much for the tip!! i will have to give this a try without any SPF moisturizer underneath then.

  • you don't need foundation, you have beautiful skin!

  • OMG! thank youuu. i thought i was the only one who was having issues with this foundation. I really was hopeful for this product just because its a longwear foundation, however it was a BIG disappointment. I'm asian and fair skinned like you, but the mac lady gave me NC 35...which was TOO yellow for me. I went baq and exchanged it for NC 30, yet still too yellow again. After 3 unsuccessful attempts with this product, I just gave up. Thumbs down INDEED!

  • Great video! And wow you're absolutely gorgeous. This foundation gives you a nice glow!

  • Maybe you should try nw?? I thought I was an nc25 (all my products are on this colour) and for my big surprise I was matched nw20 on this foundation, I have tried it with both the 190 and the SS F40 (flat top kabuki brush) and with the SS it is much nicer and natural looking. For me this and the face&body are by far the best from Mac

  • @Pescaicho I definitely will have to try this foundation with that brush. I have the MAC 168 which I think is similar to the SS F40. Thanks for the suggestion on NW20. I'll have to stop by this weekend and get a sample of that one!

  • @kileencheng This is a good idea, the SA tried the nc in half of my face and in the other half the nw and the nc looked as if I was sick/dull whereas the nw looked so much fresher on my skin. I´ve noticed when you were applying it it looked somehow too yellow on your skin or it could have been the camera...! But give it a second try you don´t have anything to loose ;) Good luck ;)

  • i love your makeup! I really wanna get this foundation but i don't have the money to get it right now :( but hopefully i'll get soon like in a few months :D

  • @ajovieproduction thanks for the compliment on the makeup! as far as the foundation goes, I would actually recommend going to a MAC store/counter and asking for a sample first. then, at least you can try out the product and see whether it will work for your skin. if it doesn't work, then you don't have to worry about not being able to buy it now! :)

  • don't give up on the foundation yet. i tried every single applicator, including my fingers, and got the best result with the sonia kashuk flat top blusher brush (any flat top kabuki would do). i tried the foundation brush appliaction and it was WAY too thick and cakey on me as well. you need very little product and need to buff it into your skin. i'm asian too, and it looks beautiful on my skin. coverage lasts ALL day and night.

  • @waihine oh good to know! i'll have to get a flat top blusher brush and try it out too! the initial application is so nice that i really want this foundation to not cake at the end of the day and work for me! thank you so much for your suggestion!

  • gr8 video!!

  • Maybe you should try an NW if its too orange? Or try a shade lighter. I have been hearing these run slightly peachy in both NC and NW and a bit dark.

  • @MsAshleyCrim good idea! i'll get a sample of a slightly different shade this weekend when I'm at the store. i'm going to give this foundation one more try using my fingers to apply and see if that helps at all with the cakiness. thanks for the suggestion!!

  • Won't lie to you but the foundation does look good on you. We are our worst critics!!! BTW....Good vid

  • @brannygiz haha, thanks. maybe i'll give it another try tomorrow and see if i like it any more. thanks for letting me know it looks good at least on video though! :)

  • YAY! another video i see.. I'm really pumped to try this foundation as well.. i think im gonna go get a sample. :) GREAT VIDEO! do you think you will try the concealor?

  • @x0juicychicx0 I tried the Pro Longwear concealer today and I will post a video tonight of my results. Thank you for watching my videos!! :)

  • @kileencheng okay thanks! :)
