They're wonderful animals, full of personality, but yeah, you should not house two males together. That's bound to end in tragedy, in the long run. As for the mess, I keep these geckos, and the cage isn't actually that bad--they're messy, and leave droppings stuck everywhere, frequently. That cage could have been cleaned yesterday, lol.
Oops! I mean I wouldn't keep them together in this case. At least there should be more coverage (bush material) in the structure of the terra. Some cleaning couldn't harm as well.
Who here thinks that Electric Blue geckos can cooperate with a house gecko or anoles(if they have a very large tank of course).
I am starting up a 125gallon Terrarium with 5 House Geckos, 5 Green Anoles, 5 Bahama Anoles, and 5 Long Tailed Lizards. The tank it 6 feet long so they will all have adiquit space. I feel that Electric Blue Geckos would make the terrarium so much better. Please reply if you have an opinion.
@Fatmanralphy as far as i know that is not known yet, other dwarf gecko species live between 3 to 10 years, and everyone I know who sells them says its between 5 to 7 years normally. The thing is when you buy them you normally don"t have a way of knowing how old they are, unless they have been captive breed. Hope that helps a little bit.
waw man, I love these creatures. I'm breeding madagaskar groundgecko's for the moment, with succes. I'm planning to buy a trio of 1 male and 2 female williamsi's. I think they must be the perfect gecko's: active, beutiful and not shy :) First I will need the perfect terrarium, but there's a reptile exhibit coming up in antwerp (I'm from belgium). How is the breeding going?
3 lygo? It's good or bad for health? sorry for my english and thank you.
