  • Why do you think eBay doesn't give you any other choice than PayPal? The only alternative to eBay is WEBSTORE.COM and for PayPal is GOOGLE CHECKOUT. Check it out. Everything's FREE, but you have a small ad on the auctions which pays for your free service. Google Checkout doesn't play the 21 day "snowball" game. A lot of people are closing their eBay and PayPal accounts on April 1, 2012 and moving to the Webstore.com & Google Checkout for merchants. You might want to check it out?

  • The Webstore.com allows to keep every dime from your sales. Allows Google Checkout, PayPal (If you want to use that service), your own credit card service, checks and money orders.

  • I do not believe what Paypal is doing is legal. Its just that it hasn't been fought hard enough by the right attorneys. Hows this for a scam. Paypal hold for 2 months, couldnt pay my Ebay bill when I was finally able to pay the overdue month I was told that because I waited too long I was now restricted and now the full outstanding balance has to be paid not just the outstanding balance which got paid. Now instead of the 500.00 I have to pay $1,000 to get unrestricted. Because of the 21 day hold

  • @jwmonkey in the past there were a bunch of class action lawsuits and paypal was basically putting holds on peoples accounts indefinately for basically any reason they deemed. seems like it has gotten slightly better over the years but they are still pulling this bs. i dont think its illegal b/c its all there in terms and conditions if we dont like it we shouldn't use paypal/ebay but obviously they rules the auction game so you gotta decide if u want to put up with it or not.

  • @jwmonkey Its how its done that leaves me wondering. For example, my account went from Powerseller to Below Standard due to the DSR ratings , DSR system is 100% anonymous so you don't know if people are leaving you low scores or not because the Feedback shows positive. Especially when its in Ebays best interest to keep good sellers in the red. They can offset the DSR. You would never know.how or why, you wont be able to use any promotions or discounts, and Paypal makes money in interest.

  • Plus Ebay is reluctant to remove obvious fraudulent feedback because they know its in their best interest. I have had someone purchase an item and the next day leave negative feedback. The item had not even been payed for. Ebays response is that it reflects the buyers honest opinion. However if Paypal or Ebay had to pay each and every person the Interest that their money accrued their whole system would be different.

  • I also believe without a doubt that Ebay has a team of hired outsourced shill bidders who buy dollar items just for the purpose of lowering your DSR scores only. You would never really know because its anonymous. If you could go to jail based on an anonymous accusation then we would all be in jail. Below Standard is like Ebay jail. I for one would like to know if I made error, how I can improve, not just be punished for it. Plus its a win win for Ebay.

  • @jwmonkey i hate the whole dsr score thing, what a crock of shit. in my experience a very small percentage of people bother to leave feedback no matter how great your product and service and the only people who do are going to be people who are mad or just wanna be dicks so its tough to keep a high dsr score and when it drops you dont show up for shit in the searches. i wish someone would come out with a fair priced decent policies auction site but nobody has.

  • These fuckers are really bending it to keep some money racking up their Interest. THE MOMENT MY DSR score went down 1 %, (with 99% positive feedback, 1 false negative and basically perfect star rating -which incidentally all of sudden according to ebay doesn't mean shit) they JUMPED on the oportunity to keep the last 8 injections of funds to my account for PALTRY amounts. I sell Records LP's..and not many these days..just to buy food. I use the money to SHIP the merchandise. CONUNDRUM?

  • @oatstao sooo anyways I had a bunch of shipping labels printed up through a friend who injected some money to help me. Then I find out I need tracking. NO TRACKING for small packets in Canada, unless your customer is out of their mind to pay triple the amount for shipping. They are usually already paying more for shipping than the item alone.. so no deal for me. I sell LP records. Paltry. I'm glad I watched your video. Even with tracking it's still hurdles. So NO MORE PAYPAL. going back to M.Os

  • @oatstao oh and I was just on the phone with rep and asked If I was in for part of the cut of interest of the hold on my money. She of course acted stupid. I said "what do you think they keep it in their coat pocket"?? I had to laugh. She said she could not help me because that is not her understanding. I have another outlet for selling, and it's going to be my mainstay now.. it's online too..but not ebay or paypal. Good video..thanks for sharing..I rambled.

  • im going to call paypal and fucking bug out , I've been waiting for my 400+ for over 2 weeks now

  • @SunnyTheRapper as long as its showing delivered for 3 days they have to release your money that or when the person leaves you positive feedback. one othe thing for you or others who may not know. anything over $250 you ship has to have a signature confirmation. if it doesnt and the buyer says they never got it they will keep your product and get their money back even if the package shows it was delivered.

  • @rulesforrebels I called and started yelling at the lay telling her the new policy is ridiculous and I can't be taking chances with my merchandise anymore... She looked up my account and most of my funds were released. Pretty good, but paypal still sucks!!! You can't resolve anything with paypal o the internet.. always call them!! And wait on hold for hours -.- ! It's worth it though.

  • @SunnyTheRapper ya it sucks no way to completely get rid of it but if you keep your DSR scores high and cont raising your feedback score that helps to have them hold less money. there's still certain categories they will hold your money for no matter what. i think people need to complain paypal is linked to ebay in every way possible except making it easy and convenient for sellers to access their own money. start your own website or even blogspot blog and sell ur stuf there with paypal buttons

  • @2wives1prophet yeah its such bs, paypal and ebay are the same company linked in every way possible except when it comes to paying you the money thats rightfully yours. yeah money wont be released until you actually call paypal and tell them which funds should have already been released.

    google checkout is another option

  • @zozanday ya bad selers can ruin it but this is stil a scam. ebay/paypal are linked in everyway but release the 21 day hold they dont release it when u get pos feedback or when pckg arives u actually hav to cal pp sit on hold all to do what could easily be automated. also 21 days is excessive. within 10 days someone whould have received a package and know if they like it or not. ebay fees have gotten crazy ebay was making more than me. i started my own site and now only pay 3% fees

  • ebay forces you to offer paypal. sometimes you get an insistant buyer who pays paypal. do the deal and leave yourself open to ripoff or refuse to sell and get bad feedback. its a lose lose. rulesforrebels site did a aticle about it

  • @guitarbridgecleaner though im not a fan of the policy my beef isn't with the policy itself as it is with them intentionally making it as difficult as possible to get funds released. ebay and paypal are linked up in every way possible except when it comes to getting your funds released. you have to manually enter the info from ebay to paypal and they still dont release the funds you still have to call paypal and go line by line with them telling them which funds to look into and release

  • @rulesforrebels

i feel your pain i had to call paypal for every transaction I had this sept. it sucked and I had already linked my established 06 seller account to my 2010 one.Out of all of those transactions with the 2010 account I still rarely get any positive feedback because the buyers are too damn lazy and dont care.It should be a requirement for the buyer to atleast leave feedback before proceeding to buy more items or anything.I've tried emailing them through ebay, no response.

  • @dcephus87

but let the item not be up to par a buyer will want to be a damn critic and leave you negative feedback and open cases. bullsh!t.....one of these days some company is gonna rise up against ebay and give ebay a wake up call. Then ebay will back off and be less bs like and implement policies they had in 06! No fees but a listing fee! Honestly why did yahoo U.S. auctions had to close?! Amazon is ok, but not too many ppl know that they sell more than vids, music, and items of ent. DONE!

  • you CANNOT win with paypal. ebay and paypal hate sellers, thats a fact. the only reason i succeed on ebay is that i DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL!! I take online payments with Propay. if you have any questions check out my channel or just reply back.

  • I had a rep tell me on pickup items your basically f&#ked if the buyer decides to file a claim because they have no process in place to show proof seller delivered item to buyer. Ebay sucks. Customer service is a joke they favor buyers to the point buyers manipulate rules and keep items and money. I wihs everyone would boycot and drive them out of business but won't happen as all the other auction sites suck.

  • @rulesforrebels For pick-ups, you should only accept cash.

  • Ive had eBay customer service reps flat out tell me they favor the buyers100% and the sellers come second.
