I definitely do not like the two piece stringer, I would change that to a single piece. The stringer is the backbone and should be one continuous piece.
@ZipSnipe Could do that, but we'd have to get ply in 12' sheets, and that would drive the price up. In wood boards of this construction, the stringer (we call it a keel) serves a different purpose than in foam boards - most of the structural support for the board is in the outer skin instead of the stringer. In one early prototype that had a different glue most of the inner frame separated from the skin, and the board still maintained it's shape and surfed OK. We've never had a keel failure.
