Do you guys happen to have a video where you go over your most recent tools? I have tried using some of the multiboot programs out their like yumi but many of them don't have listings for several of the items I want to test out like unbuntu studio, dreamlinux etc... know of any that cover nearly all of them? and is their a work around for putting studio on a usb to where I don't get the mount error?

You can make a universal menu but just copy the ISO or IMG files that you want and the menu will automatically ONLY list the menu entries that are correct. If the relevant ISO/IMG/IMA, etc. file does not exist then the menu will not be listed.

How about making a bootable flash drive that can be used to install different OS(s?) like for XP, Vista, 7, and Linux? Could this be used for that? If so, then that would save me from having to keep up with 20 discs between 3 different techs.

All you need to Multiboot a USB is ...1.menu.lst....2.grub.exe...­3.GRLDR....

4.memdisk *only if your using hirens boot cd use memdisk..

That's it..thats all..Done..!easy! load anything u want...

Actually, I kinda like the 'chatty' instructions. Its certainly easier to listen to friendly than clinical and boring. You have to have a certain amount of personality and friendliness to have a webcast that is interesting to the public. His facetime/ descriptive to screentime/example ratio seems well balanced, too. My only (very minor) peeve would be audio balance across the whole webcast.

Great tutorial overall- need to learn linux, looks fun too! I often go with an MMS pro duo stick cause the file transfer is more reliable and doesn't suddenly stop reading while loading files.

Info on Splash Image:

I had to use ImageMagick convert utility to convert the image file to xpm.gz.

Otherwise renaming the file/compression in windows could not create a readable image for grub.

This is a show more so then a tutorial. They try to make it entertaining. If you want to see a 12 minute video go find one of the 12 year old kids that watches this and makes his own tutorial. This is also more in depth to actually teach you what's going on an d not just how to do it.

what I've been doing as far as usb booting goes is install win98 files on it and boot up to that.

I primarily do this to flash a bios after replacing a system board.

what sux is that you can't install a Win NT OS, because they have antipiracy measures that don't allow the OS to boot to usb, you'd have to edit some cabinet files, it is possible, but not legal -- where linux distros u can- cuz they're open source.

After watching this episode, I'm gonna have to put all my fav tools on usb ;)
