IT was almost MADE for them, but it's a Blind Guardian song, so I love the original almost as much. Honestly, it depends on the song. I think Speed of Light is kinda weird, and Wishmaster is hilarious (Reedly Deedly), but....BARD'S SONG!

In a cappella singing, most particularly in barbershop, most singers find themselves in a never-ending quest to make their chords lock together and create overtones. THose overtones sound like extra harmonies that no one is singing, yet they are there, and they make sound even more amazing. Van Canto is absolutely amazing, and I think this is one of their best. Their chords give me goosebumps!

I really love this band a lot. They are all technically amazing singers, and the songs are really well done. That having been said, the lead singer dude really needs to stop taking himself so seriously. Every video they do, the guy is so into his own shit it's laughable. Check out the official videos. I would have simply said the song is dull and in no way moves the listener any more that a similar pop song with synth or instruments. It attempts to stand on the one merit it has going for it: the uniqueness of a Cappella as whole in the vast world of music and the strong vocals of the group.

I'm not the biggest fan of the heavier songs by them, though it is unique and I applaud them for trying something different. Would highly appreciate it if you let me know if you find anything else. I'm from India, and bands like this are quite impossible to find :( Might have to just try listening to every song I can find on youtube :P

It seems to me that Inga's voice is much better when there's some force behind it. My guess is that she is an alto singer who can go high if she has to. I think that is falsetto that I hear when she is singing quieter during her first lead in this song.
