Hey! Is that the Massey Hall show? If so, I was there! Unless he wears the same shirt all tour. hahaha. Boy, he really lets it all out of the bag on this one. This is a great insight on how he gets some of those awesome sounds.

When I first heard this in 1980 I thought he was using a slide. Now it's years later and I know how his guitar is set up. He only uses 2 springs of the 5 springs on his strat, so the whammy bar is extremely sensitive. Check out "Where were you" on YouTube and you can see how he does it. Beck has an unbelievable ear and never gets off key.
