  • heres a forty five year olds bedroom at moms

  • @fasteddie925 Two things stand to be corrected...First, I am older than 45...and Secondly, this is not a bedroom, or at my moms. I actually left home when I was 19. This small space was simply a place where I stored some of my equipment while the 1700+ square ft. addition to my home was added to allow me a place to set up my equipment.

  • 14 dislikes? How can you dislike this?!

  • you got no effects here??

  • @san5a89 No Effects...

  • @BuddyClontz how is the amp set?

  • how clapton can obtain that sound on live?? I mean is all valve amp and neck tele pickup or what?

  • LONG LIVE ERIC CLAPTON

  • @SuStPa Amen to that!

  • Great playing and nice tone, man!!! You look a little bit like Clapton.

  • @slaphappy27 Thanks!

  • awesome!

  • what is this amp..marshall artiste?

let me know cuz i have a question about it

thanx and nice playin and tone

  • The amp is a 100Watt all tube JCM 2210 series Marshall I've owned for abvout 25 years.

  • good job

  • Nice Marshall and fender too. I like stacks but prefer combo amps alot. I play stratocasters too, there's just something about them that I like. I play alot of eric clapton's stuff. I grew up on the blues and rock and other stuff down home...

  • Thanks! I use my Fender Hot Rod Deville 4-10 amps more often than anything else. I rarely use the Marshall anymore. It's just too big, etc.

  • I think it sounds good

  • Do you know what key the solo is in or what scale was used?

  • Not really....I don't worry about things like that when I play. I just play by ear and I go with what I hear.

  • @HecticOliver

    c#minor blues mainly

but in typical clapton style he slips into c#major for a few beats here and there

...unless i have my guitar tuned wrong

  • clean it up brother and it will sound alot better ! nice rig tho !!!!

  • Buddy was born to play. No drugs needed.

  • Seriously could we like stop talking about drugs ok!! If u use them then get a life!!

  • Not all people that use drugs are lifeless, I don't myself. But just saying

  • Then why are you against drug use...if you fancy psychedelics?

  • Drugs have been the downfall of many. Just because I like a certain style of art or many styles of music doesn't mean I "fancy" drugs. I am totally against them...make no mistake about it. No if people want to be stupid and use that stuff...it's their problem. I can live without it myself. -BC

  • Yes....but as far as I'm concerned you didn't understand much of the music and its philosophy!!! Drugs are central to psych music!!!!

If you like its aesthetic, it's ok.....but there's more to it than aesthetics!!! It's a lifestyle, a life philosophy!!!! Drugs have ruined many lives, but have also opened minds to things like art!!!

  • As far as I'm concerned...it's about the music and art...not the drugs. I've managed a very successful life without them thus far...and as far as understanding things goes...I've probably forgotten more than most people know...so we won't even go there. -BC

  • You missed my point! It IS about music and art, but as the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantism had their philosophies, punk was based on anarchy or nihilism, so does psych bases on drugs and its effects!!!! It's a stupid thing to say that drugs led to many downfalls, cause as far as i'm concerned you can manage it if you have the mental maturity and wisdom! I'm sorry that you are one of those: "Oh no drugs they are bad cause thats what they all say!" but still drink a beer once in a while!

  • OK...I let you have your say on my channel. Now I'll have mine! Goodbye. -BC

  • dude just be quiet... drugs have had a good effect on music but a bad effect on people. Just let buddy do his thing and you do your thing

  • I don't understand! Why do you have so many guitars and these amplifiers when you are only playing for fun at home? ....

  • Well...I used to play live and do some studio work as a teenager...and then I played steadily on up through my 20's. I got back out in my early 40's and did a little more playing live but right now I am cooling it. I can have all of this stuff because I've worked hard and I can afford it...and some more...if I want it. It's nice to be older sometimes! :-) -BC

  • woow whaaat a gear man!!:D

    congrats,great cover!

    5 stars!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • thats a big toy behind ya grampa

  • I love the tone McGuinn had on'"wasnt born to follow"..crispy..Thats a 12 string Rick..I do believe

  • Yes...I have 4 Rickenbackers and two of them are 12-string models. Nothing sounds quite like a Rickenbacker 12-string. -BC

  • I see the Rick in the foreground..Pull that baby out and do some Byrds..Nice solo..nice rig

  • Been there and done that...LOL Check out my other videos...as there are plenty of Rickenbackers in them. -BC

  • very nice.

i'm so very jelous of your amplifier

  • Thanks! I don't use that amp but on very rare aoccasions these days. My ears and my back just can't take it...LOL That thing still has the original set of tubes in it and I've owned it almost 25 years now! -BC

  • that's fantastic!

    very very good!

  • Thanks!...I'm going to have to cover the whole song whenever I get some time. -BC

  • very very nice man

  • Thanks! -BC

  • great, you got talent

  • everebody can have his own opinion

  • True... and by the way, I am not limited to simply copying a guitar part for a You Tube video. I'll have to post some more oringinal stuff when I get the time. Thanks for checking out the videos. -BC

  • not bad, but i think that the idea of a solo is not to copy it from somebody else

  • Not when you are demonstrating how to play a particular solo... -BC

  • Balsy riff BC - way off-road! Sounds kinda like "I couldn't find my way home, so I checked into the red house ova yonda"

  • Thanks for watching! I may have to do Red House before the summer is over...LOL -BC

  • Thanks for letting me know what you were using, even though it was right in your info haha. I was using my friends screen name smity2222 now i can upload my own videos, thanks man im going to check out that crybaby. Do you like your fenders more than your Gibson?

  • Thanks! I like Fenders and Gibsons...but I like Fenders the most. -BC

  • i like your style man, ive been trying to learn the acoustic version on electric guitar but i want to learn the electric cut as well, the distortion on that doesn't sound that bad, nice work

  • Thanks! -BC

  • I like your style man, Ive been learning the acoustic version on electric, but i want to definately learn the electric cut because it has such an interesting sound, nice work, the distortion doesn't sound all that bad

  • it was seet, but i like it better without that distortion...still great! =P

  • Thanks! I may do the whole song again sometime and actually take the time to dial in the right tone next time! Thanks for watching! -BC

  • What kind and how much did that marshall cost?

  • The Head is a JCM 2210 from the JCM 800 series. It is 100 watts, all tube, dual channels, with reverb. The 2 cabinets are 1960A and 1960B 300W cabinets each with 4-12" Celestion Speakers. If I remember correctly, the whole stack was about $2000 when I bought it new about 23 or so years ago. It still has the original tubes and still sounds good...but I don't use it much anymore. -BC

  • too much distortion but excellent

  • You are right...and I knew this when I did it. There is way too much distortion on this compared to the original Live Performance. I didn't take the time to dial in the tone because this was literally my quick first experiment to learn how to put a video on You Tube...so there isn't much to this one. Thanks for watching. -BC

  • Nice big Marshall at the back - you'll be popular with the neighbours!!

  • I have a big yard...so they probably can't hear me! ;-) -BC

  • Did you find the tab or did you learn it by ear?

If you have the tab, could you send it to me :)?

Great playing and nice guitar! ( I have the same with but with a rosewood fretboard)

  • Thanks! No Tabs for me. I do it all by ear...which can be limiting I suppose but that's the way I go about. Thanks for watching. -BC

  • great job:D, a little hard to hear the background music but i still would give it 5/5for the guitar playing

  • brownie lives on!!!

    nice one man

  • Thanks! This one is good for a laugh! It was my test of putting a video on "You Tube" hence the partial performance of the song. -BC

  • Good job... seemed a little mechanical at times though.. like it didn't flow like it would if you were playing what you were feeling at the time.

  • Nicely done. I've got this classic Blind Faith clip in my channel, but watching it redone in your living room adds a new dimension :-)

  • Yes...a funny one...LOL This was really just a quick experiment to see if I could get a video converted/uploaded etc. but people started watching it so I left it up as silly as it is. thanks for watching! -BC

  • You must be realted to Eric in some way. Like maybe from a few generations ago? BTW, Check out my tribute to Eric, just uploaded it today. I apologize for the pics quality, they were fine before upload.

  • i have this guitar lol. So many people on youtube have the american 3 tone sunburst with maple neck & fretboard.

  • Because it is a good guitar! - BC

  • Is it 3 tone or 2 tone sunburst? Anyway very nice playing.

  • It's a 2002 model 3 tone sunburst Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster w/noiseless pickups. I really like the way the sound and feel.

  • Yes its very beautiful and the sound is really good. I was wondering because i have ordered one too just like yours with maple neck too.

  • nicely done.

where can i find the tab for this solo??

  • I don't have the tab for any of this stuff. It may be out there, so search around the net. I almost always play by ear. For me, that's the easiest way to go. - BC (Visit infinityvisualgraphics for a look at some cool stuff...and links to original music. I'll be posting more soon!)

  • nice, i think the volumen is too loud an more overdriven than nescesary but still nice

  • You are correct! I actually just plugged in and went at it...with virtually no adjustments made for tone, volume, etc. so it is not done with the classic "woman tone" Clapton is known for. This was purely an excercise on playing a solo "in the style of Eric Clapton". Of course no one is Eric Clapton, but Eric Clapton! Thanks for listening...
