@fasteddie925 Two things stand to be corrected...First, I am older than 45...and Secondly, this is not a bedroom, or at my moms. I actually left home when I was 19. This small space was simply a place where I stored some of my equipment while the 1700+ square ft. addition to my home was added to allow me a place to set up my equipment.
Nice Marshall and fender too. I like stacks but prefer combo amps alot. I play stratocasters too, there's just something about them that I like. I play alot of eric clapton's stuff. I grew up on the blues and rock and other stuff down home...
Drugs have been the downfall of many. Just because I like a certain style of art or many styles of music doesn't mean I "fancy" drugs. I am totally against them...make no mistake about it. No if people want to be stupid and use that stuff...it's their problem. I can live without it myself. -BC
Yes....but as far as I'm concerned you didn't understand much of the music and its philosophy!!! Drugs are central to psych music!!!!
If you like its aesthetic, it's ok.....but there's more to it than aesthetics!!! It's a lifestyle, a life philosophy!!!! Drugs have ruined many lives, but have also opened minds to things like art!!!
As far as I'm concerned...it's about the music and art...not the drugs. I've managed a very successful life without them thus far...and as far as understanding things goes...I've probably forgotten more than most people know...so we won't even go there. -BC
You missed my point! It IS about music and art, but as the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantism had their philosophies, punk was based on anarchy or nihilism, so does psych bases on drugs and its effects!!!! It's a stupid thing to say that drugs led to many downfalls, cause as far as i'm concerned you can manage it if you have the mental maturity and wisdom! I'm sorry that you are one of those: "Oh no drugs they are bad cause thats what they all say!" but still drink a beer once in a while!
Well...I used to play live and do some studio work as a teenager...and then I played steadily on up through my 20's. I got back out in my early 40's and did a little more playing live but right now I am cooling it. I can have all of this stuff because I've worked hard and I can afford it...and some more...if I want it. It's nice to be older sometimes! :-) -BC
Thanks! I don't use that amp but on very rare aoccasions these days. My ears and my back just can't take it...LOL That thing still has the original set of tubes in it and I've owned it almost 25 years now! -BC
True... and by the way, I am not limited to simply copying a guitar part for a You Tube video. I'll have to post some more oringinal stuff when I get the time. Thanks for checking out the videos. -BC
Thanks for letting me know what you were using, even though it was right in your info haha. I was using my friends screen name smity2222 now i can upload my own videos, thanks man im going to check out that crybaby. Do you like your fenders more than your Gibson?
i like your style man, ive been trying to learn the acoustic version on electric guitar but i want to learn the electric cut as well, the distortion on that doesn't sound that bad, nice work
I like your style man, Ive been learning the acoustic version on electric, but i want to definately learn the electric cut because it has such an interesting sound, nice work, the distortion doesn't sound all that bad
The Head is a JCM 2210 from the JCM 800 series. It is 100 watts, all tube, dual channels, with reverb. The 2 cabinets are 1960A and 1960B 300W cabinets each with 4-12" Celestion Speakers. If I remember correctly, the whole stack was about $2000 when I bought it new about 23 or so years ago. It still has the original tubes and still sounds good...but I don't use it much anymore. -BC
You are right...and I knew this when I did it. There is way too much distortion on this compared to the original Live Performance. I didn't take the time to dial in the tone because this was literally my quick first experiment to learn how to put a video on You Tube...so there isn't much to this one. Thanks for watching. -BC
Yes...a funny one...LOL This was really just a quick experiment to see if I could get a video converted/uploaded etc. but people started watching it so I left it up as silly as it is. thanks for watching! -BC
You must be realted to Eric in some way. Like maybe from a few generations ago? BTW, Check out my tribute to Eric, just uploaded it today. I apologize for the pics quality, they were fine before upload.
I don't have the tab for any of this stuff. It may be out there, so search around the net. I almost always play by ear. For me, that's the easiest way to go. - BC (Visit infinityvisualgraphics for a look at some cool stuff...and links to original music. I'll be posting more soon!)
You are correct! I actually just plugged in and went at it...with virtually no adjustments made for tone, volume, etc. so it is not done with the classic "woman tone" Clapton is known for. This was purely an excercise on playing a solo "in the style of Eric Clapton". Of course no one is Eric Clapton, but Eric Clapton! Thanks for listening...
heres a forty five year olds bedroom at moms

Do you know what key the solo is in or what scale was used?
HecticOliver 2 years ago
Not really....I don't worry about things like that when I play. I just play by ear and I go with what I hear.

c#minor blues mainly
but in typical clapton style he slips into c#major for a few beats here and there
