after hermione sends the birds after ron and starts to cry into harry's shoulder harry looks in rons direction and gives him a look like wow ron ur sooo clueless and stupid right now.
@Krypton88 why is ur reaction deleted? I think he goes out with Lavender to make Hermione jealous. He was angry bc Hermione had kissed that other guy....
@JanNeshen What are you talking about?Throughout the ENTIRE series of movies, the only guy Hermione ever kissed was Ron.
But back to my original point. Ron was not seeing Lavender to make Hermione jealous. He was genuinely interested in Lavender, until she started smothering him.
Ron was oblivious to the fact that it made Hermione very upset. Had nothing to do with him trying to make her "jealous". The next scene he reminds Harry that he's a single guy and can be with whoever he wants.
@Krypton88 Ok ( in the books he is going out with Lavender to make Hermione jealous. He is in love with Hermione, that is why he is worried when he sees her with Harry like that...he is not just curious about the birds, he wants to know what they are doing....)
@JanNeshen That in a nutshell is the basis of the difference in our opinion...i've only seen the films. You've read the books.
Though that happened in the books, the film seemed to interpret it differently by simplifying things and having Ron be legitimately interested in Lavender...which naturally resulted in Hermione's jealously.
But he wasn't setting out to make her jealous...in the films version anyway.
@JanNeshen Oh, absolutely! Throughout the whole sixth movie they are trying to achieve two things in regards with Ron and Hermione apart those that are in the book. First, they make sure that we as an audience know there is and never could be anything between Harry and Hermione, they are purposely pointing out their deep friendship in more than one occasion (remember Dumbledore being nosy about Harry's love life?)....
@JanNeshen ...Second, Ron doesn't get to see any of that, in fact he sees scenes that could be interpreted as having some romantic subtext and especially with Lavender's comments like "Ups! This room is taken" - what is he supposed to think! :D
@xoxlilchicxox Have you even seen the movies or read the books? She just saw Ron and Lavender kissing in the Common room. I'd say that's a thing to be upset about.

I cried when I saw this for the first time because I hadn't read the books yet, and I didn't know they would make up.

Ya, Harry and Hermione are so good together, but as friends, Harry acts like Hermione is his younger sister or something, which is cute

@xoxlilchicxox She saw Ron and Lavender kiss. And given how she's had a crush on Ron since they were kids...totally reasonable reaction.
