He is adorable! How wonderful that you got these first few "steps" on video. What a good natured man! I love the "encouragement" given to him to get him into the canter. Gotta love babies!
Hes looking soo good. Just a tip-when you use the whip on their rear end its more for discipline, norm theyll put their ears back after or buck sometimes. When you want them to go try using the crop/whip behind your leg/the girth. I'm not trying to be one of those cyber trainers. I learned this in a lesson a few weeks back when I was hitting my horse in the rear for go and he'd get a little pissy so my trainer told me bout it and now it works much better
@Tobi8010 Thanks, giving advise is fine, I will give it a go .. he does buck sometimes with crop on bottom & I do wan to use it to re-enforce my outside leg aid for canter
@DexterChester Never going to sell him! .. I still have my 1st horse i ever bought Lucy, my 2nd horse Romi & now Zac, they all will have homes for life with me ... they are like my babies .. lol
Bless he's so long and babyish :) welldone, most youngsters like going forward anyway and he will soon love being asked to change into a forward transition. Only thing i would say is if he bucks goodluck cause your kinda forward on him. ( I understand to encourage him to be more forward that's why your doing that). Keep the good work up though ;)x
@ridingsmylife Thanks, yes im sure will will get used to it, he does like a buck or bouncy transition, so i will need to be careful of my seat, but so far its going ok,
@RJBBOP1986 Thanks, yes they are all different! I think its the small size of my sand arena thats causing it, plus he seems to go up before forward in the canter too, but this is out 1st attempts at canter, so im pleased
@HoodieLover52 Thanks, yes its early days yet, he can canter on a lunge, but now with a rider he has to support me too, so much for learn for us, but i agree he will be super smooth
