Why waste your time trying to categorize art? I've been an artist for majority of my life ( both visual art and music ), and here's my advice to all of you. Every second you worry about genres you're wasting your time on this earth. You either enjoy a peice of art or you don't; it's as simple as that. The source of the art may consistute a level of consistancy for the viewer, but that doesn't mean you can't be surprised sometimes. Choose to listen or don't.

I like Visual artists, and I like Visual presentation in music. They're are a lot of really good Visual Kei bands, but id have to agree that Visual Kei is more of a fashion. It does annoy me how those artists do seem to get flooded by people who like them only for there looks, and no there music. A Visual artist doesnt have to be Visual Kei though. I personally dont listen to Dir En Greys first 3 albums that often. They're great albums, but usually not my taste. All have amazing lyrical content.

Have you even listened to their last 2 albums? Uroboros & The Marrow of a Bone both included screaming in nearly every song.

The latest single, "Hageshisa to," is almost completely "screaming".

For you, a fan of Dir en grey must only listen to Gauze?

@eikichidesu Perhaps not only screaming, but there is quite certainly a large amount.

Dozing Green & Glass Skin are exceptions, in my opinion. Of course there are songs on both albums which are not centered on various forms of screaming, but these are certainly not as numerous as those which do.

I agree with you that this cover is superior to the original, but the song itself is very clearly a Dir en grey rendition - their own unique flavor was added.

Conceit is a stupidity all it's own.

@eikichidesu VK is not a genre, it was a fashion statement which is why I don't understand people saying "Oh I D0nT Lik3 tH3ir VK StuFF" What the fuck does the way someone presenting themselves visually have to do with the music itself? And if you wanna get technical they were still somewhat VK when Vulgar came out though they toned it down a lot. And more so throughout WTD They've done that through their whole career basically went from extreme to casual and back again.
