The Chrolli scene may not be very "exciting" now (i.e. back in autumn 2009) but the fact that a gay relationship is seen to be ... strong, steady, solid - is a good thing. We live in a world in which gay men's relationships are ceaselessly portrayed as unstable, degraded, crazed, unhealthy etc - well, at least in our popular press here in the UK. I like the fact that Christian and Oliver are allowed to be a bit dull. Together. Committed. Stable. Wholesome. In love.

When the Kish storyline was going on on One Life to Live there were many people who posted that "it didn't seem believable" because they weren't like the characters on Will and Grace! Don't get me wrong loved Will and Grace, but the characters especially Jack didn't portray gay men in the most positive light.

It'll be bad, they'll have an intense break up before finally getting back together. Because of course they will...but as a moody British viewer, I'm expecting some conflict soon x
Well when they got back together, the only couply thing that happened was a little bit of flirtation on a train! Then that was that-we asume they lived happily ever after. Before that it was all angst. Angst is good.
Really my biggest problem is to do with the fact they have two amazing actors that they aren't making do any work. They can do angry, upset, cross, in love but all the sexy chemistry that was so irresitable has faded. Bring back the sex! Is that really so much to ask? x

after reading the whole comments, i think if ollian ends , most of the fans will die with it, and i couldnt agree more what freeballer81 said, that Thore and Jo are the perfect actors for this perfect storyline, well i know its soap opera but i really hope , i mean really really hope that ollian will continue on, because they are the BEST COUPLE EVER in tv , so many hardtime, fights, or anything you can imagine xD , but they still together, BEST EVER
The writers did create a wonderful thing with Olli and Christian; yet, for me, the acting of Thore and Jo is what really brought this to life. They are so sincere and real. They have chemistry on screen. There have been other gay couples on television all over the world but none have managed to be this beautiful. I don't want to sound corny when I say this, but this love story is very touching, inspiring and beautiful to watch. I hope the writers keep it alive.
I think the wink was more a brotherly vote of confidence. Plus, I really don't think Christian would be that obvious right in front of Olli if he meant it be romantic. Olli was probably shocked he didn't have a mouthful of sarcasm for Rebecca and that's why he looked at Christian funny. IMO
I really don't like the character of Rebecca. And it's made worse with Christian's sudden friendship with her..And it's unrealistic that Christian suddenly will go out of his way to help this selfish little girl. The last I saw, he doesn't even like her that much.
And I don't think Ollian will ever break up. Their love is too powerful.
I hate that Ollian are playing supporting to Rebecca. Writers, forget Rebecca and give Ollian a storyline.
I think the only reason C didn't like R before because she was very spoiled and very into herself. And remember, she broke Gregors heart in the past. That is when his feelings towards her took a turn for the worse. Now with her "human problems" and coming clean to C, that the second time that she has not been snobby or have the " I'm better that you" attitude towards C.
I have 2 say Rebecca might suck at times & might b snooty but at least this time she's trying , i mean Olivia was always conceited, she never seemed to lear from her mistakes.

I'm apparently in the minority that thinks that Christian and Olli are NOT going to break up any time soon and that none of them is magically "turning back straight" (something that only happens in soaps, lol) again. And I'm all the happier for it :).

I too agree with you. They would be commiting suicide if the break them up. All this international attention VL is getting didn't come because of no other couple/character on the show EXCEPT Chrolli. So the writers would be fools to mess with them.
It's right what you're saying, but the point is that someone heard back in old interviews or whatever, that writers intended them to be bisexual from the start, so to give them whichever partner they wanted on screen...Oh gosh,perhaps I'm the only one to have thought that O was gay, & C discovered to be gay, not bi, falling in love & choosing Olli over the girl...I'm starting to be confused!! LOL ciao ;-P)
It doesn't matter what the writers intended; the point is they breathed life into Chrolli and it took off with a life of its own. Look how long VL had been running and it took a gay couple to get them noticed on the international scene. I don't think they want to tamper with that winning formula. A German viewer even commented how Chrolli has become sort of good will ambassadors for Germany so everyone concerned knows that VL stumbled upon a good thing when they got Christian and Olli together.

All this talk about Chris and Rebecca couldn't be more mistaken, IMHO. Chris hasn't liked her in the past, but her efforts to change Justus's mind about Chris, I think, has helped to soften Chris's attitude toward her. Now, he's really hoping she can get on her feet, and if he can help her, then he will. I think he can see she's a bit of a klutz and he has a soft spot in his heart for klutzes.
Why do people get so paranoid when Christian or Olli are friends with a woman. They're allowed to have friends (male or female). It's normal life.
Rebecca needs some support from her friends and they are trying to help her just like people helped them when they were her age or in her position.
I wish folks would stop being so hard on her. She's trying to do things differently and that's really all you can ask of someone (particularly her age).
Because we don't want anything to happen between Olli and Christian's relationship. Remember Coco falling for Olli? Things can happen and that would be awful. I don't hate Rebecca, but she better not start to have feelings for Christian.....
coco falling for olli wasn't a big deal because olli was so crazy about christian, he wouldn't have thought of anyone else. but now the problem it's not rebecca because so far, she didn't show any interest in christian. All the way around, all the hints are pointing that christian is the one that may fall for rebecca and that's when will be the end of everything...

Just the guys playing second fiddle to other characters, as always. A few cute scenes in the middle. Business as usual since, I don't know, July?

yeah , what i mean in previous comment is that if they really end like thats it ,not going back together then most of fans died with it , and i agree with R0sE99 , giving conflicts like adding flavour to soap opera but then finnaly getting back together , that would be great, hmm i think as long as they getting back together im agree with xDDD coz they are BEST

I think Rebecca's going to kiss Christian next...and maybe sleep with him, while Olli's away on business and not returning his phonecalls or something. It'll be bad, they'll have an intense break up before finally getting back together. Because of course they will...but as a moody British viewer, I'm expecting some conflict soon x

Well when they got back together, the only couply thing that happened was a little bit of flirtation on a train! Then that was that-we asume they lived happily ever after. Before that it was all angst. Angst is good.
Really my biggest problem is to do with the fact they have two amazing actors that they aren't making do any work. They can do angry, upset, cross, in love but all the sexy chemistry that was so irresitable has faded. Bring back the sex! Is that really so much to ask? x

after reading the whole comments, i think if ollian ends , most of the fans will die with it, and i couldnt agree more what freeballer81 said, that Thore and Jo are the perfect actors for this perfect storyline, well i know its soap opera but i really hope , i mean really really hope that ollian will continue on, because they are the BEST COUPLE EVER in tv , so many hardtime, fights, or anything you can imagine xD , but they still together, BEST EVER

The writers did create a wonderful thing with Olli and Christian; yet, for me, the acting of Thore and Jo is what really brought this to life. They are so sincere and real. They have chemistry on screen. There have been other gay couples on television all over the world but none have managed to be this beautiful. I don't want to sound corny when I say this, but this love story is very touching, inspiring and beautiful to watch. I hope the writers keep it alive.

I think the wink was more a brotherly vote of confidence. Plus, I really don't think Christian would be that obvious right in front of Olli if he meant it be romantic. Olli was probably shocked he didn't have a mouthful of sarcasm for Rebecca and that's why he looked at Christian funny. IMO

I really don't like the character of Rebecca. And it's made worse with Christian's sudden friendship with her..And it's unrealistic that Christian suddenly will go out of his way to help this selfish little girl. The last I saw, he doesn't even like her that much.
And I don't think Ollian will ever break up. Their love is too powerful.
I hate that Ollian are playing supporting to Rebecca. Writers, forget Rebecca and give Ollian a storyline.

I think the only reason C didn't like R before because she was very spoiled and very into herself. And remember, she broke Gregors heart in the past. That is when his feelings towards her took a turn for the worse. Now with her "human problems" and coming clean to C, that the second time that she has not been snobby or have the " I'm better that you" attitude towards C.

they wont end thier stori... they have a very posetive feedback from every furoms and they all new about it.. the wrtrs and the chanel also. they even have a online voting @who's the best couple in thier show. it would be damn if they change thier story. with all the trouble making it work and they wll end it hahah that would be the worst thing to do as a writer,,,, just my point of view...

I'm apparently in the minority that thinks that Christian and Olli are NOT going to break up any time soon and that none of them is magically "turning back straight" (something that only happens in soaps, lol) again. And I'm all the happier for it :).

I too agree with you. They would be commiting suicide if the break them up. All this international attention VL is getting didn't come because of no other couple/character on the show EXCEPT Chrolli. So the writers would be fools to mess with them.

It's right what you're saying, but the point is that someone heard back in old interviews or whatever, that writers intended them to be bisexual from the start, so to give them whichever partner they wanted on screen...Oh gosh,perhaps I'm the only one to have thought that O was gay, & C discovered to be gay, not bi, falling in love & choosing Olli over the girl...I'm starting to be confused!! LOL ciao ;-P)

It doesn't matter what the writers intended; the point is they breathed life into Chrolli and it took off with a life of its own. Look how long VL had been running and it took a gay couple to get them noticed on the international scene. I don't think they want to tamper with that winning formula. A German viewer even commented how Chrolli has become sort of good will ambassadors for Germany so everyone concerned knows that VL stumbled upon a good thing when they got Christian and Olli together.

All this talk about Chris and Rebecca couldn't be more mistaken, IMHO. Chris hasn't liked her in the past, but her efforts to change Justus's mind about Chris, I think, has helped to soften Chris's attitude toward her. Now, he's really hoping she can get on her feet, and if he can help her, then he will. I think he can see she's a bit of a klutz and he has a soft spot in his heart for klutzes.

Why do people get so paranoid when Christian or Olli are friends with a woman. They're allowed to have friends (male or female). It's normal life.
Rebecca needs some support from her friends and they are trying to help her just like people helped them when they were her age or in her position.
I wish folks would stop being so hard on her. She's trying to do things differently and that's really all you can ask of someone (particularly her age).
She's not lusting after Christian or Olli.

coco falling for olli wasn't a big deal because olli was so crazy about christian, he wouldn't have thought of anyone else. but now the problem it's not rebecca because so far, she didn't show any interest in christian. All the way around, all the hints are pointing that christian is the one that may fall for rebecca and that's when will be the end of everything...

I love Justus so much. Did anyone else catch his brow arching at 1:27? I think it looks really amusing and suits him really well.

It's good to see Christian helping Rebecca. I like that he can overlook the crap she's done to him (and Gregor and Olli) and help her.
However, here's a suggestion to the butler: can we maybe NOT use the fine china to teach the woman to waitress? Can't you find something a little cheaper that doesn't break quite so easily?

Come on guys, our favorite super couple needs a little spice in their life. They're not married but they sure do act like they've been married for a while. I love all they're cute moments but nothing that compares to their courting days. Come on writers, throw some new into the mix.
