Pretty sure that's Lee Greenwood's voice. Wow. Guy just has a way with taking but a few words, such as this opening, and just making it sound extraordinary. Yes, I too remember this show like it was yesterday. Didn't miss too many episodes. Great shows. Better times. At least many of us are old enough to have experienced them.

I just spent the past few hours looking over the web to find this show. Then it dawned on me the old guy was from that show Black Sheep Squadron. Searched for him on IMDB, found the name and approximate year, knowing it had to be it. Now watching this video, I truly stand in awe at how god awful that fucking intro song is. I think it was a good show. I was 9 so who knows.

Loved it. Why does it seem like alot of my favorite shows were 'just yesterday'? That's nuts, man. It shows my age. Regardless, I'd like to know where I could possibly purchase the series in its entirety, 'cause to me this is good stuff. The quality stuff, and I think that kids today could possibly enjoy it as much as we did if they had the chance. None of this "reality" crap. Lee Greenwood sang the opening song to this series and I always tried to find a copy of it somewhere. Loved the series and wish they'd put it out on DVD. I have a few of the episodes, but not the pilot, which I have only seen part of.

Sorry. The title of the song is "High Mountain Ranger". At the end of several of the eps, you can see who sings the opening theme and it's only listed as opening theme or song, but if you listen to the song, it's only talking about a HMR and what his world is and how he sees it. Kinda makes sense that the title of the song would be High Mountain Ranger.

uhhh, yeah. i was a big fan of RC, but this show lost me. i think i knew even when i was a kid that he just did this to give acting jobs to his sons. Also, the theme seems to go on for 4 and a half minutes, even though it says 1:57

omg high mountain rangers i remember when i was a little kid i would sit there and scream and scream and scream while my mom would flip through the channels and she flipped on high mountain rangers and i stopped screaming i was glued to that tv watching that show. haha so anytime i screamed my mom would flip this show on.

I remembr at the time being a kid and thinking it was a really cool show. The grown-ups sat there laughing at the acting job....or lack there of but to us kids it was great! Imagine a group of rescuers who were able to pretty much rescue anyone and have the gear to do it...climbing ropes to horses to guns...there was nothing these guys did not have. Acting problems aside this was a great show and I remember it fondly.

Looking back now I can see why grown ups would laugh at the acting, but hey, when I was a kid I didn't care about silly things. I just wanted to see them save somebody or blow some poachers away.
