Great movie and soundtrack, much better quality all round than mine, and a fantastic achievement in the wintertime too, I was so tempted to turn around and walk back heading south, what about you?
@imsodave Thanks for replying - Its a pretty triumphant song. I enjoyed the fact that you had song of the day for each one of your blog entries too, and the song for each Steve show. I couldnt have done the Coast to Coast without my mp3 player. I ordered McCloy's lejog book today!
I was searching for walking vids before I embarked to do Wainwrights Coast to Coast path last year (200 miles), and I found your excellent videos, and your blog too. Thanks very much for getting me into Mercury Rev entirely as a consequence of this video. As I walked into Robin Hood's Bay at the end of my 200 mile trek, I made a point of playing Hercules on my MP3 player to signify my achievement. I'm gona do Lejog in 2012 hopefully too. Your blog was particularly inspiring and entertaining :)
Very nice. The music went so well with the pictures. If I ever emigrate to the UK (which I am trying to do), this walk will replace my desire to do a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.
walk the appalachian trail, walk from john o groats to lands end are all on my 101 things to do before you die list. 16 now, thinking of doing this when i'm around 23 and out of university with my friend. looking forward to it already!!! :)
@skillzdatkillz900 That sounds like me except I'm 19 but I aim to do it within 5-10 years and I want to start at Lands End, the only thing I would say is if you want to do it when your 23 start planning now like who your doing it with, are you going to have someone to support you to meet you up at certain points etc and where your going to stay of course, good luck with it :)
YOU ROCK! :3 sorry im really obsessed with doing that walk right now because im normaly pretty lazy so i really want to prove to myself i can do something. I hope i can work my way up to doing it. sad thing is,being a female, its impossible to go alone and dotn know any "up-for it" type of people. oh well, thnaks for the vid ^___^ twas very inspiriational... although i have no idea why you would choose to go in winter looks cold.. but then again snow is really pretty and you dont get hayfever!
Great thing to do Mate. I cycled 2500 miles around England And Scotland in 2006 on a mountain bike pulling a bob yak trailer that was loaded with camping equipment. It took me 28 days. Great vid, brought back lots of memories. Im hoping to walk it one day.
WOW u did gr8. Me and my mum are starting from Rhondda Valleys in South Wales then going to Landsend and the up to John o'groats and back to wales. I Cant wait.
The ride was the time of my life. I'm doing it again, but on foot this time. a tip for anyone doing the walk/ride. Definately go round Glasgow via Isle of Arran and up to Tabert, and secondly, take the direct road from Bonnar Bridge to Tongue. Both routes spectacular.
Wow. So inspiring - im hoping to do LEJOG next summer (2012) seeing all your photos makes me want to do it more! :)

Dead jealous - I'm cycling it this spring, but this video makes me think I should do it on foot! Music certainly enhances the vid.
