This song embodied my thoughts when it came out, as I had moved away to med school and left my sweetheart back where we met in college.

Now it brings back both the great joy and sadness of that relationship, salving that old wound.

Beautiful, its a pity this isn't one of the more "popular love songs" though. Art Garfunkel was right when he said, "that this is the most beautiful love song Paul Simon ever wrote." And probably, one of the most emotionally genuine songs ever made.
