Than you SO MUCH for this tutorial. I have been struggling with this for HOURS! I've been wanting to reduce the size of my background color so that it appears like a bar behind my text only so, with the help you provided here I am now able to do this. Much appreciated!
You should learn how to adjust the volume in Vegas so people can actually hear what you're saying -- before you present yourself as someone who knows anything at all. Clearly, you don't. Are you just stupid?
My best guess is you have it hidden. Do the following:
a) Open the text media generator
b) Increase the size of the window by highlighting the left corner of the window and holding the left click and draging the window to be larger
c) Take your cursor and find the bottom of the media generator window. At this point, a different type of cursor called an i-beam should pop up. Again, hold the left click down on the mouse and this time drag up to expose the keyframe timeline.
There's more complicated ways to achieve a better looking scrolling background...but i guess you do say this is a simple way to achieve it. Also, you may want to render your future tutorials in 4:3 instead of 16:9 so it fits better in the youtube window.
Cheers! Helped me out. :)
