Thank you so much for sharing this! Madeline Kahn is the reason that I've been thinking a lot about the possibilities of a time machine lately. lol. Thanks so much! Dare we hope for more...? ;D
This is the most I've ever seen her talk outside of her movies! She was, from what I'd seen heretofore, very shy and reserved.. Some have even said she only came out of her shell while on stage, or when the cameras were rolling! This was SUPER to see! THANKS!
This is what Madonna's personality would be if she had class, a college education and talent. lol They have similar speech patters,,,,,,BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT!!!
The movie "Young Frankenstein" was on tonight and she was so great. When she died it was a sad day for entertainment. I really miss here. Her performances just made any film she was in worth watching. God bless Madeline, we loved you.
I freaking LOVE her! She was truly amazing and no one has come close to her yet. She was just breathtaking. She was hysterical, gracious, talented, amazing.
The Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth (who incidentally was in Candide too) has a maltese (as in dog) and she named her "Madeline Kahn Chenoweth" because Madline Kahn is her idol.
Hello to everyone in youtube world! Please please please someone post some more Madeline Kahn? Everything I read lately is about how great she is. I love her "Getting Married Today" but I want to hear more and get a feel for her as a singer and an artist. Please everyone, show me what makes her great.
Oh how Madeline is missed! To think that in early 1999 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and gone by the end of the year....That was just so sad! She was such a beautiful soul. They say...the good die young. Here is a prime example of that!
it's amazing how a voice can be so beautiful and powerful even without notes and melody. when i watched the video i just wanted her to keep speaking and hear what she had to say. she was a real talent... intriguing, sharp, fun, and well ofcourse funny at the same time. i'm glad she "accidently" became an opera singer, that's a great accident
I saw that Kahn's Musetta in La Boheme in D.C. and she was remarkable - totally in control of the notes, and very dramatic in the death scene. She could have had a career in opera if she choose. Terrific lady!!

8 years is nothing and the phrase they died years after is usually for when both subjects died a fair time ago (ie not this year) more like sal mineo and natalie wood died years after james dean

Beautiful, talented, sweet, and absolutely delightful! Madeline Kahn was one incredible woman. Such a shame that she died so young.

"years ago" is a figurative expression, expressing a great quantity of years. it is not literal.
