I was at this show! One of the most innovative bands of all time touring behind the greatest record of the last few decades, eleven days after events that shook the world, it's a show I'll never forget. Thanks so much for posting this (and anymore to come). We miss you Unwound.
If anyone out there has Unwound playing "Demons Sing Love Songs" live please post it. You will bring the world one step closer to world peace. Thank you.
I saw them once finish a show by strapping a guitar to an amp and turning it to "eleven". I remember standing there with a shit eating grin. After a minute or two of feedback someone got on stage and flipped the amp off. 1994...miss it.
fuck man, i live in australia, unwound is one of my favourite bands if not my favourite, unbelievable band. they were past my time and in another hemisphere so i never saw them live and never will unfortunately and you can never find anything on them on the net.
I still listen to them everyday, they can't be replaced, it's amazing what year this was happening, it just gets batter and better. I saw them twice in NYC, once new years with Matt. We had tickets for the Sept 11th show in Boston, that was cancelled.
Holy Shit!! I thought that I was the only SOB that listened to the unwound. THE most Underrated Indie band. THere sound was phenominal. I saw them open for Blonde Redhead twice (Mainly for Unwound)Much like this crowd Nobody cared but I was going nuts. Thanks
yeah. that was brent - the drummer from the first record. but yes, unwound is dearly missed. i saw them a few times, the best was with get hustle and crom-tech back in 97 or 98.
MORE MORE MORE!!!! This rocks so much I am sitting nestled snuggly on a large mound of my own poo poo. Because of how much I was just rocked into my senses.
thanks for making this video.

Wow. I missed Unwound by about ten years...they're like an incredible combination of Fugazi, Sonic Youth, and Polvo.
rynosaur74 6 months ago
@rynosaur74 saw them open for fugazi in LA, at the Shrine Auditorium.
one of the most amazing shows ever.

sorry, his name is brandt, not brent. i was close though.
helenforsdale 5 years ago
And what was with cutting him out of the shot 99% of the time, it's not like he was just some stand-in guy.
Anyway it's good to see some of the band's music up here at least.
mdaadt 4 years ago
i'm totally wrong though. it wasn't brandt, it was dave stone...from get hustle and other various things.
helenforsdale 4 years ago
Brandt Sandeno(?)-did tour and play Keyboards and other things on their last record though.
One of the most amazing bands ever.
Hi Vern. I think I still have something at your house?
