  • Heh all i have to say is; good thing we no longer have to actually use swordsmanship to survive. What this video demonstrates is how to get killed as fast as possible.

  • All the moves are there, but I don't like how deep his arms are crossed when he does his "thrusts" ... Technically correct kata... but very bad swordsmanship habits. The thrusts are all of maybe 6 inches deep... weight's not shifting properly, blades not even facing the right direction.

  • I dont know what to say..... 0:09 Wrong left foot angle the whole time the sword comming down was too close to the center lacking the range and needs a strong step to be a good cut... 0:23 if you do that spin this way you will lose the grip of the sword 0:33 sorry but your deffensive posture kinda crappy what ya think lol :D..... and many many more... We all make mistakes but I feel we should not be too pumpious and make videos when we are so bad.... really cool 5 dan man

  • @sunreaper2

I noticed that. I mean, I'm no expert, but I've been practicing for almost a year now and something didn't seem right.

  • @icefiredarksector748 Whatever you practice I strongly advice you to find a good teacher and skip videos like that. Peace

  • It feels great to train with the Katana/bokken but you need loads of room.

Can you legally train outdoors with a bokken, say in a field or somewhere away from other ppl, in the UK by any chance?

  • @Soundgardener80 Yes you can, you can even train with a metal sword but it needs to be classified as decorational and it has to be blunted.

  • @Fuz2yman decoratation swords r meant for just tht, display. they will not stand up to extreme work outs or cutting. besides that, alot of them u buy in stores r nt mounted properly to the handle and will shake alot wen moved. if u truly want to use a metal blade, i would suggest a unsharpened competition blade(do no think tht bc its dull it cannot kill, theres just a less likely chance of it), never use a display sword or a real sword especially wen just starting out

  • very interesting. Could you tell me from what sword school (ryu) this comes from. It looks very different from what Morihiro Saito (I am an Iwama aikidoka) taught.

  • coooooooool :)

I wanna see it with a real sword tho :D

    pleeeeeeeeeeeeez
