Actually it was not the dock lines that snapped, but the dock and cleats that gave way. The outboard end of the dock had just been rebuilt, and a new extra large cleat installed, only a few days before, and both the new cleat and an older back up cleat gave way ripping up the dock in the process. The Schooner Curlew suffered damage on her port side due to the impact with the Ocean Adventure, and starboard where the flying cleat hit
