The fact is that i was listening to the original one for so long, adopted and appreciated it so much that I couldn' t express my " disapointement " and "frustration" on how this version sound like. On this song, adding new instruments and sounds over the original would be more respected... but not by replacing those two. @algiasphere Have you tried Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube or PS2 yet? The musical score isn't as good as CT, but the characters are more fleshed out than I've ever seen done in other games, and it gives the game a vibrance that is sorely lacking in today's games, and it helps you to really get attached to the characters, as they're all more or less awesome. Besides which, the game's plot twists knock your socks off when you think you know everything. It comes highly recommended :D

The only thing missing from the track is the sound of rushing water. :D It sounds like, if a sequel was ever made to this game, that the Corridors of Time were deconstructed and replaced with a very natural-looking area with bright green grass, tall trees, and a huge river in the middle.

These interpretations have something special but they just don't keep the "sound spirit" of the game. Many pieces weren't suitable for orchestra but for rock band, etc. so trying to orchestrate everything is a bit of an exaggeration. Just one more detail: some secondary voices sound a little bit obvious. I can understand you try to make orchestrated versions for all the Shining Force II OST but the games from the Chrono Saga are way different.
