@lethyxmusic Thanks ... this is super old, so I don't quite remember. I wanna say I worked on this off and on for about half a year ... from modeling, texturing (not shown), and rigging, then finally animating.

@Heist425 start by following some basic max tutorials that can be found on 3Dbuzz.com, after that import wow Models into 3DS max using a program called machinima studio. After that follow the machinima studio youtube tutorials to animating a wow character, and even import wow's enviroment into 3DS max.

too be honest...this couldnt happen on a huge mmorpg basis or it would require an INSANE computer just to play on low graphics

they just finally brought out a video card that could handle the best graphics on it...and its not even online

Absolutely true. Though the Wow movies are just like the game, except their mouths have mouth variety talking then in game.

The could of at least tried to make animated movies like what you did. Like what everyone else does! They look like they have alot of money. So why not?

I have been wanting to do this type of thing when the time comes to get a job for a long while now, I was wondering, what type of qualifications are needed to get a job doing this stuff?

Hmm ... usually, a solid portfolio showing your strongest pieces is all you need for consideration. An art degree and past related experiences would definitely be helpful. Of course, every company handles the process differently, but I think that's the general idea. Keep in mind that there are numerous applicants vying for the same position, so there's also a bit of luck involved as well.

I modeled the troll in Bloodfang armor (shoulder pieces are hidden cuz they're big and bulky ... and detract from the overall animation).

Heh, I have shown Blizzard this animation when applying for their animator position, but I wasn't lucky enough to get in. Well, lucky isn't the right word ... as much as I'd like to see their troll rogues move like this, it just doesn't jive well with the rest of their animation style ... and that's probably what they're not looking for.
