I dont know why hyperspeed isn't considered a cheat. The game was not meant to be played with hyperspeed and its makes the game A LOT easier. Sounds like a cheat to me.

Because everyone plays at different speeds. Most people don't play at Hyper 5. Some people find it easier with no hyperspeed etc. It's a simple option in just about every other rhythm game (I.E. DDR) and is not considered a cheat.
