in 1995 the most feared n hyped election of them all in tanzania...i was in zanzibar..i gave my vote and went out and opened my shop till evening...yes there was a demonstration but there was no violence at all!

Violence has erupted in kenya due to anger, anger that the people were robbed of the change they voted for. A corrupt government has grasped power through a corrupt election. The violence has not been primarily caused by tribal clashes, nor is there an ethnic cleanse. People are sick and angry of being oppressed by their leaders. The international response must focus on the shoddy election. That is the only way kenyans can receive the democracy and peace they have struggled and died for.

The only tribe sin kenya are the rich and the poor. The people you are fighting for are not worth losing life or limb for. They are now sitting comfortably in their mansions watching you the poor going for each other's throats. If we go the Rwanda way they will dissapear with their families to their second homes abroads and we are the ones who will suffer. How can poor people burn another poor mans shanty in Kibera?
