  • Looks like battle field 3!

  • whaT TYPE OF CHOPPER IS THAT

  • @tomaclo MD 500.

  • i have my stinger ready.

  • Veeeery cool and turbine-powered, at that! Ought to be for the money, eh? {chuckle} A prime example of why I knoooow better than to get into such an "addiction" as r/c (I've too many irons in the fire as it is! LOL)! Always enjoyable vids, though, especially with the preflight prep and interviews. A nice way to enjoy my Sunday morning coffee! ;)

  • Put some miniguns on it ! And missles !

  • I remember back in the 60,s I saw a bell Heli,in the window of the hobby shop, about that size,I thought that was pretty cool. For the time It was probaly pretty advanced for the time,I could be wrong.

  • proably the worst spent money inany ones life

  • @chadwick1472 maybe for you. or of you cant afford it

  • Is that Newt Gingrich @ 1:53?

  • I'M THINKING LITTLE MINIME CAN FIT IN THAT HELLICOPTER CALL MINIME TO TEST PILET THAT HELLICOPTER MATE. AND MAKE ONE FOR DOCTOR EVIL.

  • I noticed those rotor blade threads are reverse left handed threads, any reason why?

  • i wonder if you would die if those rotating blades ran into you

  • how many pounds does one of these bad boys weigh??? did it really take two guys to carry, or did they do it just to be safe?

  • Love the rc aircrafts

  • my helicopter is 1.000.000 cm smaller!

  • That thing is beautiful!

  • put a camara in that!!!

  • Comment removed

  • hastasıyım bu makinelerin... :)

  • Does one need to take any kind of training course to fly an rc helicopter of that size?

  • @Carolinacountryboy33

You need what is called an "RC Rec License". It cost about $9,000.

  • Skip to 3:03 <------- If you don't see it being prepared.

  • With the money you have spend there you could have built a Mosquito and fly 4 real

  • Impressive replica, great to see turbine powered model and full five blade rotor system on a model. Well done to the builder !!! and the RC pilot

  • THE Buzzard from GTA:the ballad of gay tony :D

  • how much gasolone it should be on this things and the gas have a good durability ?

  • I can barley control a 6 inch electric helicopter, no way in hell I would control this!

  • This sir is amazing o.O a real RC jet copter just listen to that sound :D Now which car did you have to sell to buy it? :)

  • maybe its just me.. no offence. i feel that the "tail rotor" is too small. well, by the looks of it. :P great vid by the way

  • if u have to have so much money like this guy says why is he using a 20 dollar screw gun from walmart to attach the rotors

  • Absolutely Beautiful! I want one, lol.

  • Buy that helicopter and get a FREE grass cutter :D

  • this helicopter likes the Nine eagles Bravo sx, right?

  • very nice. That thing is quick!

  • That radio just looks plain scary!

  • i want that

  • You should get insurance for that if you crash it

  • thing is so big, why not just get the real thing?

  • do you have to study aerodynamic engineering to build one of those?

  • im going to buy one of those for my cat :D

  • Brill

  • You could fit a 5 year old in there, that would pe an experience?!

  • dear santa

  • nice its not often you see 500E rc turbines on youtube with the proper main and tail rotor setup. mostly i see ones with 2 blade mains and tails when 5 blade mains and 4 blade tails looks more scale and probably flys more like a fullsize 500E.

  • this for domino delivery

  • how heavy is that thing??

  • You know you got money when you have an entire trailer just for your RC stuff

  • 3.56 for take off

  • for take off

  • @xjet Whuff..! That's a SERIOUS Heligocopter Fantasy ! It's good it has a Civilian paint-job.. My old boss at Helicopter Promotions, Rosemary Arnold-Harris, was aboard the first Civilian Turbine Chopper (Hughes 500) on it's First US Transcontinental Flight... She had happy memories of the H-500... We flew an Enstrom F-28c, so maybe she had Turbine-Envy ?

    Ciao.

  • the 'e' model had a ducted boom.

  • @izzysykopth That was the NOTAR version with the ducted boom.

  • @xjet The 'e' had a rotor? You are probably more knowledgeable than I. Love the taste of foot in my mouth! LOL! U would think I would learn to keep my mouth shut by now. Anyways beautiful model. Most I ever have done was a 6' wingspan glider. Thinking about building a ducted fan.

  • Respond to this video... Oh yeah I see it now the nose is of the 'e' generation.

  • ciaooooooo questo elicottero e bellissimo :)

  • now smash it

  • Why is "what is nudism?" a related video?

  • @JDO658 Is it? I have no idea why.

  • @xjet do you think think the blades from the helicopter could cut a finger or an arm even? just wondering.

  • really cool this is amazing

  • NICE....

  • How much was it and did u buy a kit

  • wow.

  • I like how the heli waited politely for the plane to take off. A+ video... and by the way, that is one heck of a bird. 

  • i feel like for the cost of one of these, you could get a private heli license

  • u shud fly a scale rc apache

  • where can i get one?

  • Wicked....

  • Very Nice WORK!!

  • I'll will own one one day. My wife is cool about it. Some guys spend the same amount on fishing boats. Some people spend 4 or 5 times that amount on a sports car. I fly electric 3d helicopters now but it is nice to fly a scale from time to time. My things if you go scale you might as well do something like this. I wouldn't mide a UH-1 blackhawk though. This is my second most favorite heli.

  • @kelsehoffman UH-1 is the original huey. Blackhawks at UH-60

  • put a camera in the front

  • buy a real one instead noobs

  • @cainemansion125 the real version if this helicopter is 2 million U.S. dollars, and after you meet the requirements to be a private pilot, you would already have spent about 15,000 - 20,000 U.S. dollars, I would personally do both.

  • That should be a expensive one...

  • amazing

  • How much does it cost?

  • @johnken62 Depends on how realistic you want it to look and many other things like radio gear and flybar controller. Could be between $13000-20000NZD

  • @happyhouse152 That's so fast and stables, i love this one.

  • Great fun I want one

  • What a Sweet Bonza little machine!

Who the hell would click the thumbs down button??

  • Scale done the right way. Nice. Absolutely beautiful job.

  • rc jet at 5:00

  • 4:10 for actual takeoff

  • great flying is this in NZ somewhere? where?

  • where can i get one?

  • how do u manage air intake thru the jet? i couldn't quite see how the ducting system was set up.

  • how do u manae intake and airflow thru the jet?

  • brilliant. a most excellent model. now what would be cool is one with a NOTAR thrust vectoring tail nozzle. lol

  • brilliant. a most excellent model.

  • You sure didn't waste any time getting off the ground!

  • How much does something like this cost? Just curious! More than I can afford, i'm sure!

  • Awesome Heli

    Great flight

Obviously I'd love to have one, for now my Trex 600E in a AS 350 fuselage will do.

    Congrats !

  • wowoo!!!!!!!!!

  • WoW cool things do still apear in ToK

    886

  • I have a turbine powered flesh-light. It gets the job done..

  • @CRFbadass now that's badass....but i'm worried that you may be spending too much time alone...

  • kick ass

  • Awesome,, just like the real thing but harder to fly no doubt !!!! Well done, I want one

  • An idiot missed the "like" button

  • Looks and sounds awesome

  • That thing is fucking GORGEOUS. Thanx for sharing,

    Scott

  • amaizing! Really really cool. Hey, maybe you could help me get the kinks out of my shrinking ray and we could play together.

  • How did you block the side exhaust to only utilize the rear? How does it handle with the additional rear thrust?

    mmamick@comcast.net

  • Just to let you know, you spelt Hughes incorrectly:)

  • love watching it tail in

  • Wow, wow, that is awesome......

  • That Helicopter is Humongous. Do you Own that helicopter.

  • Hello this is a beautiful Heli... What size is it ? and which turbine did you used ?

    Thanks

  • If you dont mind my asking...what does something like this cost...the helo and the engine? I am retired and have always wanted to have a RC plane or helo, but I alzo realize that this is not something to learn on either...thanks.

  • @shooteraod

This is a Vario Hughes 500E powered by a Jetcat PHT3.

Research about vario and have a look at the other helicopters they have.

This sort of model would cost upwards of $15000 with high quality equipment

  • @happyhouse152 WOW...thanks for the reply HappyHouse. Man...15K...I would have to sleep in the back yard with the dog. The "war department"...aka...wife says that I have enough toys between my boat, GoldWing motorcycle (listed here on YOU TUBE under ShooterAoD) and my truck, but I will have to get a smaller version to learn how to fly. Thay have to have something, so I will go on the hunt. Thanks again...this helo is...to me...the "cat's meow" and is just double cool.

  • very nice mobile workstation

  • killer heli omg

  • Tu-Meke! Nice to see a video of this sort of heli flying in NZ. Any chance of getting it to Warbirds over Awatoto in March. Be really wicked for everyone to see it in the flesh. Chur chur!!

  • its very big

  • That thing could lift a baby!

  • Sweet :-)

  • I know my christmas pressi:D

  • Very Cool

  • It looks like flying a brick !!! The pilot seems to be having difficulties flying it ? and for the money he could of bought himself a small Gyrocoppter
