not wanting to go off topic, but was wondering if anyone here can help me...an old GFs father had a vinyl record/20 years ago?/ anyway ...i think it was called rockin steady with flo and eddy...singers of the birds/turtles something like that and the wailers...i think they did these songs...anyone know?
I'm really not trying to make the joke about "6 people listen to shit music" or something like that, but I really don't understand what would compel anyone to dislike this, one of the greatest songs I've ever heard
many many versions of this beautiful old school track are available... start with Delroy wilson... the sweetest bob? I think so............ goosebumps* Jah love
@ihearvoices274 hey bro i thought id help ya out :), try "bob marley and the wailers greatest hits at studio 1" has a bunch of these classics. Peace and one love!
Again relates to more of my current situation, along with Waiting In Vain and Is This Love. Thank you Bob, you've been there for me in my time of need, keeping me strong with your Reggae Music. One Love From The UK
@ censurado618: You got it . The haunting of your flame to your true love is too much....Bob explains that the human spirit feels to much to let you just brush it aside. Instead ...we just wait ...and if love is there it never leaves even though the love you had for each other leaves either, physical or spiritual , the heart remembers and wants to connect..... Memories just make it worse.....God bless u.
I got this cassette when i was 16yrs. old given as a gift..i didn't know Bob then koz i just came from the Philippines at that time(1986)..i fell in love with this song and i started listening to Bob and the Wailers since then.
Man this track is too beautiful. Love Bob's vocals on this and Peter & Bunny really make this haunting. Has to be one ofmy favourite Wailer tunes from the early days and I've only heard it for the first time today. Thank you for posting this one. Jah bless
im still waiting , chucha , just dont have me here too long , im afraid i wont make it , hold me like you use to , i need your wormth and comfort to pass me through these times..i cannt tell my teardrops from the raindrops...
i heard this track back in 87. I bought a bob marley cassette at a car wash. had all the great sounds like :hammer, small axe, put it on, do you remember, mellow mood as well as this classic.
i found this song on a discography my nan had left to me, i must have heard it over a hundred times and still it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. it must be the most emotional piece of music i have ever heard, truly beautiful.
i write songs and sometimes i think im just doin this to try become succesfull....bob marley makes me remember thats its about expessing yourself and love...:)
@EVolVedCreaTionS i hear that. it makes you so happy.. you couldnt be happier, but when it makes you sad... i rather die than feeling that pain. but i cant kill myself because i love her... its hurting now...
