The price of google tv was droop to 75, u can find it cheaper if you want, I been using it, it's great for streaming videos, I can't say if it works with Hulu, but they did an update in 2012, my google tv works fine no problems it runs smooth, and I can recomend it to anyone who wants a browser device running on your tv,
@espartacos1 Thanks for the feedback! The only negative thing I have experienced is the Netflix app has stopped working. I feel bad because I gave the Netflix app a great review while it was working, but after a month it won't load anymore. Other than that its pretty good.
@bartsphotoss There is no subscription fee for accessing the basic features like the web browser, file sharing on the home network, YouTube, etc... The fee that you are hearing about is probably the monthly cable bill or Netflix subscription. The Revue can integrate with your cable box to control the DVR and change the channels but obviously that would require paying for cable service, however it is not mandatory and I use my Revue without paying for a cable service.
@bartsphotoss continued from above... Also Netflix has an app for the Logitech Revue. So if you want to access the Netflix instant stream movie library you'll have to pay a monthly fee to Netflix, but again this is not required. You can pick and choose what extra services you want to pay for, but you cab also make great use of the Revue for free without paying anything extra. It all depends what you want to do. There is a ton of free content like movies and TV shows you can access.
Thanks for the very helpful review! Did I understand correctly that this (unlike Roku) works well with a wireless signal? I'm a tenant and the router's not in my living space.
@candle38 I haven't tried the Roku. Wireless set up for the Revue was very easy. I'm not sure how to give accurate feedback about the wireless signal strength. I have a very slow DSL internet connection and everything seems to work. I do have to mention that sometimes when streaming Netflix video the application becomes unresponsive and has to restart. This does not happen when I use my laptop for Netflix. It could be poor wireless signal or a bug in the Netflix App, not sure which.
@BigNate84 Appreciate your reply. I understand wireless strength will vary--my main concern is that this would function without having the router directly plugged into it, which isn't an option for me. Sounds like it's workable, so I'm definitely considering it (and didn't know about it before happening on your videos); thanks again.
@leeradio13 I don't know for sure but my guess is probably not. Does your NSX40 have a USB port? Maybe you could try a stand alone USB keyboard? Or wireless direct to the NSX40?
i finally was able to contact logitech...but it was not customer service but sells department. This is the deal: Many customers downloaded the latest upgrade and now they are having lot of PROBLEMS with google tv! Dont bother calling customer service waiting time is more than 2 hours...they are trying to figure out how to solve the problem. Meanwhile your google tv is just a big piece of useless cr@p!
hey many thanks for the video!! please can you tell me ! if i connect dvb hd receiver on the logitech revue it can work? couse i have a reciever DVB HD with hdmi cable! thanks
@MariolQueen. I'm not sure what a "DVB HD" is. If it is a TV, AV Receiver or Set-Top-Box then the answer is yes. Can you tell me the manufacturer of this product? Or describe it in more detail? That sounds like a modle number. Thanks for the question.
@BigNate84 thanks for reply! i have a dvb hd receiver! is receiver that have a free digital channels but have hdmi connection on my lcd!not a satelite or cable hd!

@ZiggleFingers Yeah sure! I would love to do a review of the HoneyComb update once I get it. Have you seen TheKiller4110's channel? He posted some videos showing what HoneyComb looks like. I heard Sony devices have the update but Logitech keeps pushing back the release date. Thanks.
On the other hand connected TVs Google TV or other platforms are still a great future opportunity out there. It's not going to happen overnight, but it will happen and it's another platform that we will follow as a connecting peripherals add-on supplier for those platforms Google TV whatever Apple comes up with if anything.
@TheKiller4110 Thanks for giving more background on De Luca. I definitely agree that this technology will catch on eventually. Its just a matter of time. I will definitely check out some of your videos on GoogleTV.
OK, are you ready??. I will say nice job on the video, even though it is old news, also, you should not speed up your video's because people will then say, my Revue isn't that fast when im browsing.
Just like everybody else has done to this day, you only commented on what the CEO of Logitech said in the beginning, what about all his other comments saying they might play a part in the next Google TV, if you want to see what a Revue can do, look at my videos.
@TheKiller4110 Thanks for the feedback. This was my first attempt at giving a product review. My hope is that it will be used to inform people that may not be aware of this technologies existence. Speeding up the video at certain points was not intended to mislead people into thinking the Revue has super fast web browsing capabilities, but rather an editing technique to keep the video within a reasonable time frame. It still ended up being a bit long. Thanks again for responding!
