You're probably one of those people that thinks: "Oh, it's missing too many pieces! Better send it to the scrapyard and get it crushed! It's no good to me!"
Yes restorable but would be costly the bace price for what shape its in around $1500 too 2500 if you want it bad enough for 2500 anything over that is too much, Better too pay more for one complete with all parts running for a cheaper restration than this one because in the long run will pay alot more to restore it.
Ugh, it's not awful, but that restoration is going to be EXPENSIVE as all get out... someone would have to be awfully dedicated to the car to go through all the work to restore it, especially when you could get the same model as a finished street rod for $30K-$40K.
In fact, we've got one of those for sale right now. You can see the video on our channel.
Depends what the person wants a 5 year project and to expect to spent above 50 thousand dollars ,or just buy one finished and spend about 15- 30 thousand after some one else spent 50 and all the time
Definitely looks fixable--body ain't bad for a 70 year old car, but what the hell is that thing up front where the flattie goes, and what has someone done to the rear suspension????
The car is a 1939 Ford DeLuxe with windshield wipers relocated from the roof to the cowl (1940 Ford style). Did it sell and has it been restored by now?
its not its a 40 ford coupe but it has a 39 dash and deck lid handle we have a 39 ford ford sedan and a 40 ford sedan, and a 40 coupe the 40 ford had the wipers on the cowl where the 39 ford had them in the roof above the windshield plus the dashes, chrome, head lights, tail lights, bumpers, grills, and hoods are different
How much were they asking? Definitely one to consider, but the cost to resale...hard to make money restoring nowadays anyway. Hope it still had the "old car" smell.
Yes, restorable! But lots of work to do and expensive restoration. It's a "business" model with the long trunk isn't it? A rare car...
