  • Have any Big Spin episodes from 90-91-92 and 93?

  • Geoff "Starcade" Edwards!!!!

  • Does anyone have the $15 million dollar win?

  • I'll upload the Big Spin open from February 1990, but sorry for the video quality

  • i use to play back in 1985 ween it came out in fairfled cal

  • The Glory Days of the Big Spin in which people holding up signs and banners cheering for the contestant just like on a Baseball game when they support for their team.

  • Did they even have Triple in the Edwards years? I thought it came in with Pat Finn.

  • some episodes i remember had double.

  • @AussieEvil I don't think they ever had "Triple" during Geoff's run.

  • At 2:28, what was Flynn's daughter screaming?

  • Oh look - Noel Edmonds appears at the 2:56 mark!!

  • Holy crap, it is!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL.....thats just funny; he does look like Noel Edmonds

  • Yep The Theme Music Is Done By This Guy who did the Music for Sweatin To The Oldies 2 (A: T.J. Knowles)

  • Who Made the 1980's Big Spin Wheel?

  • wow way to go there bubby

  • That was an ugly ass check!

  • I wouldn't have minded receiving it, though... :P

  • I remember when this show aired on KTTV in LA during the 80's and early 90's, then moved to KNBC during the mid 90's, before settling on KCAL where it has been since around 95-96. Geoff Edwards is craaaaazy!

  • lol

  • Does anybody know what the green light and the two red lights underneath the wheel stood for? It kinda looks like a traffic light.

  • It counted the number of complete revolutions made by the wheel. It had to do three revolutions in order for the spin to count. It lit red, red, green, and once the green light was lit, it meant that this was it, no do-overs.

  • "It's Geoff Edwards!"

    "WHO????"

LOL at the clip, Adam. Five stars! (No wait, make that ten! :-))

  • As I grew up in the 80's, I remember seeing this show a lot. This music brought back many memories, and I still remember humming it from time to time. Also, I remember balloons being drop on this show for every time that the $1M was won. I wonder why it did not happen on this show since it was more than $1M.

  • Maybe they just forgot to drop them. IIRC, confetti also dropped as well.

  • the pink space was what? $1,000,000?

  • ohhh. i forgot about that, i'm sorry. LOL!

  • by any chance do any of you happen to have any of the $3 million wins from the CURRENT "big spin" format. (adam, i apologize in advance.)

  • I do not. (And apologize for what? Again, I don't get annoyed by requests. I get annoyed by commands.)

  • His wife sure seems more excited than he was when he won the jackpot...

  • when jim said "ok" his tone of voice kinda reminded me of herry monster from sesame street. Lol

  • AdamNedeff, can you upload some Big Spin episodes that took place anytime between 1989-96?

  • Don't have any.

  • Do you have some more stuff from this 08/22/87 episode? I'd really love to see more people spinning the wheel.

  • ROTFLMFAO! I give it five stars! Great!

  • This is how I remembered The Big Spin...I used to watch this every Saturday night for years. Like kambreesuncle mentioned, no stupid games to just the earn the right to spin the wheel. Just a handful of contestants coming in and spinning the wheel with a little good conversation in between.

  • August 22, 1987? Almost twenty-one years ago. I am LMAO for this clip here!

  • for a guy who just won $3.8 million he's not very excited is he?

  • i know. I would be going nuts and I would buy the entire audience drinks!

  • and this isn't a promo this is an actual clip.

  • The song that they play when the wheel is spun is a classic jingle. Here in this video the wheel isn't spinning long enough to hear the rest of the jingle.

  • Do you have any CA Lottery drawings?

  • I do not. Sorry.

  • how much did the grand prize go up by when it wasn't won? (i know it started at $1 million)

  • It started at $2,000,000, actually. $25,000 was added for every spin before it was won.

  • How Come Todays Big Spin is limited to $3 Million?

  • Because that was the way they decided they wanted to do it.

  • Wow, that guy is totally not that excited to win 3 mil, even in the 80s.

  • jim should've recognized geoff's voice.

  • If Pat Sajak called you right now, would you recognize your voice? Probably not. Your brain would be telling you it's somebody else, because you're not exactly expecting a phone call from Pat Sajak.

  • true, but i meant since he watched the show.

  • sorry mistyped, meant to say that i think he meant that since the guy probably watched the show every week

  • i know that if the ball lands in the double slot u get another spin at double the payout, but what would happen if the grand prize came up in that spin?

  • does anyone know what year this was, that 3,000,000+ win clearly beats Brad Rutter's Jeopardy record (wikipedia claims Rutter has won more then anyone on a TV game show and I want to set the record straight)

  • It's 1988, but this wasn't even the biggest win of the series. (They gave away a $15 million jackpot at some point.) I don't know if I'd be in a rush to correct Wiki. #1, "The Big Spin" only aired in one state, so who cares? #2. You'd also have to verify that some other state lotto game show didn't give away more.

  • i KNEW i read that somewhere!

  • wrong, when they say that they're talking on a nationally televised game show.

  • Is it me, or did that $3 million win need a little more excitement?

  • any idea when they moved production of the show from Sacramento to L.A. ?

  • Around 1999

  • In San Francisco it started on KGO-TV along with other Statewide ABC Affiliates in California then it was succeded by KTVU from 1986-1988 before moving to KOFY (now YourTV 20) in 1988-1994, then KRON from 1994-1999, then back to KBWB until Summer 2001 as the shows goes to KPIX until 2003 as it went back to KRON.

  • This is "The Big Spin" how I remembered it. Geoff Edwards still called the shots. Everybody spun the wheel. No stupid quickie games. No stupid gameboard. No Pat Finn. lol

    Thanks for uploading this.

  • Yeah, they screwed everything up after Edwards left the show in 1994.

  • lol "i have mike in my hand, but this is geoff edwards!" that was funny.

  • Wow. Wheel of Fortune has NOTHING on that wheel.

  • OMG! I totally remember this as a little kid!

  • What theme did they use?
