This game used to be hard for me as a kid (the fifth level was the farthest I got, I think.) But now, it's quite easy. Just get a hold of the Spread gun and that R thingy (that makes you shoot your bullets twice as fast) and it shouldn't be too difficult. I even once (and only once) beat it without dying a single time.

Both of them are good but comparing them is hard because first Contra is from 1987 and first Metal Slug came out in 1996. It is like comparing a PSX game with a PS3 one.

Ah, Mad Dog and Scorpion. Truly does take me back. Contra and Super C were probably the first two games I owned when I had a Nintendo. The music sounds just as good now as it did then. There is a major difference - TAS videos use exploits and other impossible things, that we dont :)

How can you be sure about that? Savestates are used by both the people from TAS and the ones from RAG/WOLP. And if a game has glitches, it's absolutely valid to exploit them.
