  • @babyRoses7

You are so right. I am in your age group and remember dancing to their great songs at the Rhapsody Nite Club in Glen Burnie, MD. The bands were fantastic, and I really dug the brass. Now, I show my grandchildren this great music and we get on down and dance to this great music even though my back is not the way it used to be.

  • @MagnusTheSnake ...or yellow or brown or whatever right? :-)

  • Man I seriously think I was born in tha wrong decade, I definitely prefer this over todays music

  • so just turned 18 and want to learn what fun is all about

  • FOUR as ONE magnificent unit KNOWING who the VOICE was, and everyone was okay with it!

  • man black people used to make the best music. this rap shit's gotta go

  • 20 people can't help himself

  • My favorite group of all time. I was brought up on this music. I'm 32 now and still prefer the music from the 50's, 60's and 70's much more than the crap that's on the radio today. I don't even listen to the radio anymore matter of fact. I also had a mega crush on Levi.

  • I am 14 years old living in 2011and this is all I listen to.. Music that's almost 50-60 years old

  • oh man this brings tears to my eyes i love it!

  • Classic! i want live in 60' ;-))

  • Badass. Oldies but goodies

  • Levi look how handsome you are here! God I miss that smile. See you my friend.

  • Yesteryears J.L.S.

  • ☺SUPER thanks4posting!! Hearts out!!❤ R-luv

  • They look like a bunch of guys having a great time dancing and thank god it's like that. Today is more important to look cool, be dressed like a slut/pimp and have a zillion dollar budget for a video then to know how to sing. And how to have a good time.

  • 19 people can help themselves. Maybe...

  • The four most classy, artistically sound quartet in the history of music... No one Top was better than the other. IMO Levi was the man, his passion, singing, set the tone for a great performance. Performed 40 years together which is a rarity until LP (Lawrence Peyton) died in 1997, Obie would follow a few years later and Levi's velvet smooth voice silenced forever in 2008. God blessed each of the guys with a gift and they gave that gift back to millions of fans.

  • Levi Stubbs

  • @itei9 meah

  • Gadaffi's House Band

  • @rankthis Really? Not the first time I've seen seen someone TRY and say something clever to get load of thumbs ups. Don't really understand the gratification in getting like 50 thumbs ups.

  • the four tops were a grate group then but this showing shows them in a bad way. they have no good dance steps and are out of sink. when you see stuff like this you wonder were are the temps, could'nd they help them with there steps or something. should'en berry have put them together to help them get better. the mind sometimes wonder what motown was thinking then!

  • @5864431048 You sir are an idiot.

  • they just have three microphones!

  • @KingGizzay thats all they needed! XD

  • In Deutschland spielen die "Oldie-Sender" dieses Lied täglich - und das zu Recht !

Liebe, Gefühl + Können = THE FOUR TOPS ! Dankeschön...

  • Levi Sutbbs, God bless you. A gentleman and a singer.

  • fab fab fab

  • real gods of motown music !!! Unforgetable !!!

  • pure joy

  • that guy with the glasses is hilarious

  • thumbs up if the factor sent you here.

  • well said fatrop

i am 30 and appreciate those times ways

  • LEVI STUBBS - LEAD SINGER + THE OTHERS IN THE FOUR TOPS!!

WOW! IF THIS WERE RELEASED TODAY, IT WOULD ROCKET TO NO. 1 ON THE CHARTS! Better than the Wannabe lame songs of today! Levi Stubbs was the gentleman on the far left, the lead baritone singer of the Four Tops! This great Motown Group took off in the 1960's and this song is still relevant and loved by millions today!

    Great Artists Enjoy Musical Longevity!

May God Bless Levi and the other Four Tops

  • This song is one of my all time favorites and the guy first from the left, wauh...!

  • One of the coolest Motown groups ever! They don't make them like this anymore and that's a damn shame too!

  • @MRbossman1982

Yeah man I like black people too! I'm the 5th whitest guy ever

  • I JUST REALIZED THAT THEY ARE PLAYING AT A PARK NEAR ME!!!! TOMORROW

  • Awesome song!!!

  • I love this song.. and I'm not even 16 years old. I guess I want something classic :D

  • @Pohonda me too! i'm 15 and i love it!

  • Man, i love Black people , (am black)

  • FOUR TOPS! Motown's Best Guy Group!

I bet if this song were released today it would Rocket to No. one on the charts in two weeks! This performance was in the early 1960's and we all love it still! Amazing!

Levi Stubbs (lead singer) had a great voice and the other threes were great also!

    THIS IS CLASSIC GREATNESS!

  • I like that guys glasses. And there really good

  • Great...having fun and get paid at the end!!!! Great guys and a superb song.

  • Superb!!

  • Dolomite soul experience. You cannot top the Four Tops! Essential soul!

  • This is music!!!! This is how it should be!! this brings happiness men... good times!

  • @joangyt Those were the days... not like today's "Junk" :)

  • @nickums69 Those that listen to all that junk most of em like this music too,i've seen their faces light up when Motown is played

  • PLEASE NOTE: black singers. humane lyrics. warm spirit. treasures relegated mostly to the past though. sad to see what modern black music has corrupted into. but hey, let's keep our focus on the real thing, right here.

  • @dexfx69 The young people who perform the music are more involved in authorship nowadays apparently, and we live in different times, so I guess it was inevitable that lyrics would get more superficial. But I think these changes are superficial as well, there's some good stuff around if you look past the surfaces :)

  • all this time i thought " the temptations" sung it :P

  • Soul and R&B, Classic Rock, and Dubstep are the greatest types of music now a days with all of that; what is now considered Pop culture, when actual pop culture: old country and Soul and R&B.

  • This is a great video and of course The Tops are superb!! Thanks!

  • Im 11 and most kids my age are into RnB and HipHop, my dad introduced me into this sort of thing. Like Ottis Reding(R.I.P) Jimmy Ruffin etc.

    But this is real music!

  • I love this.

  • Comment removed

  • Still great song.

  • They're incredible! Their dance movements, the song, and the upbeat performance are something to see and hear. I love them.

  • It's AWESOME!

  • Absolutely great!!!!!

  • Love the mustard suits... Chairman Mao meets the 1970s.

  • When I call your name, girl it starts the flame, burnin in my heart, tearin it all apart, oh... SUGAR PIE HONEY BUNCH!

  • smiles and talent and they knew it ,and so did we ,it was a great era for music ,and I sure miss it

  • My mom bought this teddy bear for me, a valentine bear or something.. lol

And it has a button and a song will play, and It was this song. The title of the song showed on the bottom of the bottom box, and so that's why I'm here :D

    or w.e...

  • Thx for share ! Is so cool n nice ! Love it so much!

  • I can't believe so many people hated on my original comment that it got deleted. I didn't even curse!!! I DO NOT hate the Four Tops. I'm just saying that this particular clip is terribly disappointing. Levi's delivery is still amazing - but they just LOOK bad. The choreography is whack and they're not trying very hard. Maybe they were tired, I don't know. But you can't tell me this is the Tops at their best.

  • So Talented it's ridiculous!

  • THANKS FOR PUTTING MY COMMENT IN SONG TITLE SPACE. TO REPEAT:

"WOW, BET IF THIS WERE RELEASED TODAY, IT WOULD ROCKET TO #ONE!

FAR MORE TALENT THAN TODAY'S WANNABE SO-CALLED COSTUMED TALENT." Levi Stubbs and The Four Tops were Motown's Greatest Group!

I'm still watching them in 2011-50 years after this actual performance! Ga Ga - Ha Ha!

  • Amazing! So hard to find live performances of classics like this.

  • MAGIC

  • Well I love the Tops, but hate people saying things that aren't true.... Really nothings changed from the Motown years till now, there was still drug addiction among band members of all Motown groups, all of the songs were written by the record company, and yes,,,, those dance moves are choreographed....

Somebody thumbs something thats actually true.

  • LEVI STUBBS AND THE FOUR TOPS! MOTOWN'S GREATEST!

IF THIS VIDEO WERE RELEASED TODAY, I BET IT WOULD ROCKET TO NUMBER ONE. REASON: THEY HAD TRUE TALENT, NOT LIKE THE WANNA BE COSTUMED PEOPLE WHO MASQUERADE AS PERFORMERS! NO COMPARISON.

LEVI + FOUR TOPS WERE IN A CLASS BY THEMSELVES!

  • I swear people back then had style and knew how to dance and groove.

  • damn, Levi Stubbs could sing his ass off. Great funky arrangement for this live performance too

  • They brought this to the late 1960s...loved it:)

  • this song makes me feel so goood .

  • far better than their studio version

  • THE FOUR TOPS=Timeless Talent. Levi Stubbs had a great voice, and the songs this great group sang in the 1960's and beyond are still relevant and loved. Quite a remarkable legacy!

God Bless You Levi Stubbs and All the Four Tops!

  • doesnt this just give you faith in our world . knowing there are still and will always be people with taste , soul , heart .

uno this actually has tearfull effect on you but in a good way in a happy way unlike our current stars , jls and the likes .

peace to you all with soul

  • I did a cover of I Can't Help Myself on acoustic guitar. Check it out.

  • What a style and grace they had.

  • Four Tops and Levi Stubbs right here, over 50 years ago, are still one of the Greatest Groups in Motown History. Think about it! Here we are watching a video that is 50 years old - and are still amazed at this great video. That is what we call "Greatness" and lasting power. I still love the Four Tops and in my view they are a far better rock group than anything I've seen in the current "Soft Rock" genre. This is A Classic Peformance. Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops were the Best of Motown.

  • i love this song my favourit music is classic rock and psychadellic music but i just cant help myself this song is great i have a jukebox in my house that my dad got from a dinner that was open back then and im pretty sure this song is in it

  • Wish there was music like this today.

  • Those guys look like they're having FUN. No choreographed dancers, no flashy lights or props, just 4 guys with real talent who could actually sing and enjoy themselves. I think I was born about 40 years too late...Music today is terrible generic crap for the most part, except for a few rare bands that do their own thing...

  • @aprilmay91 well i love this type of music too, but hip hop is different from this classic music. you should respect music. it will always change no matter what. Rock bands aren't really good now a days. not All the music sucks now a days but yes there are some really stupid songz out there talking about drinking and having sex and strippers but my point is that theres always the good and bad. if it bothers us all so much why don't we start changing music again and making something original.

  • I'll say one thing.... To everyone who disliked and dislikes all the Four Tops videos uploaded on youtube..... FUCK you you bunch of loosers.... like you people know what music is!!!

  • MY man, that moves everyone,,,, but anyway can you help your self? if not keep on digging it ! 99

  • L>R: Levi Stubbs, Obie Benson, Duke Fakir & Lawrence Payton... Payton was the first to pass on in '97, thus ending the run of a group made up of the same members since 1953... 44 years! Benson died in '05 and Stubbs in '08. Duke, who was the oldest of the four, turned 76 this past Christmas. IMO they were the best out of Motown.

  • Oh God. I'd forgotten just how good they were.

  • Levi, you were a real soul brother. The greatest singer to come out of Motown.

  • this is great black music ..........its all crap rap nowadays

  • it's musicians like this that make me wish i was a 70's child...

such a shame knowing that in my time we've got all this mainstream/auto-tuned crap on our radios rather then real music like this!

  • The late Great Levi Stubbs,,,,his voice says it all,,,,,priceless,,,,,,,,

  • I honestly hope that today's generic pop drivel will overload itself and implode, leaving a giant hole in the world of music, which can then be filled by proper songs like this one. Make it happen, monkey paw!!

  • Omg! :D My daddy used to sing this to me when I was little! He still does! :)

  • they are great ! what a song......and no need for the boys to even co-ordinate , they certainly didnt have a back stage team circa xfactor generation

...they just " sang it and had it!" ...bloody great !

  • Classic Video of Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops! They look Young and Great and thus video is a treasure! Sadly, Levi died, but his music and great videos like this one live on!

  • @s235343 what on earth are you talking about? These are people dancing with passion and emotion.. not to look good, this dancing is amazing because it shows happiness and hope and feeling. Ok, so you can roll out Britney to lip sync while she's doing what is effectively pole-dancing and call that good choreography... but where is the soul in that?

  • @fatrob1711 Nowadays most music is synthesized, so singing it at a live performance is hard to do, so they just lip sync. Like you said wheres the soul in that. My quote is "Classics/Originals are always the BEST and always will be."

  • @fatrob1711 Amen to that my brother!!

  • @fatrob1711 yep

  • @s235343 Fat Troll!!

  • Ooh I'm singing this at my best friends wedding:D

  • ooohhhhh i love this

  • I grew up in the 60s my older sister used to make me listen to 50,000 watts of power KOMA in Okc this is one of the really great songs I remember as a child also Walk on by by Dionne Warwick great great music back then.

  • Great stuff. Thank you for posting.

  • I love the four tops.......when ever my mates and I ahve a good boogie we always have 60s and 70s on x

  • ahaha this is just beautiful. the song the dance the faces ahaha niceeeeeeee

  • oh I love this song 2!!!!!!

  • So good. Epitomizes the feeling of falling in love....... "can't help myself"

  • i dnt even really like this type of music, but i can appreciate that these guys are the real deal. I mean, this is good stuff, and back in the day.....and it sounds like that live? awsome stuff! any musician needs to look at this as a good example
