OMG I loved this fuckin game. That spider on Cave 4 scared the shit outta me when it first came after me. BBC's were the shit man! Chucky Egg, Frak, Sabre Wolf, Mr Ee, Fat Man Sam, Manic Miner - Classics! Gonna have to download an emulator for this game alone!
What an excellent video. I can still remember games like this, it was a nostalgia trip from start to finish, and reminds what bought me to the world of IT. In particular though BBC games had a character of their own. When I was a Spectrum owner i used to look down on BBC people as they did me, but from this perspective it appears there were a lot good programmers doing great things for this highly versatile machine, and I am grateful to you for capturing it. Well done :)

I also recall that there was a second version with more levels (BBC / Electon?). Also heard of the quite rare Boffin 2, but only played it in recent years via emulator (blockier graphics, not as good as the original). Oh, and yes, that spider was SCARY. You never knew when it was gonna strike, and some of the best in-game animation.

Oh man I remember this..it was great, I remember getting up to a very hard spider level! The sounds bring me back to that time. Ah I loved this game!

Go to the Stairway To Hell website, download youself a BBC Emulator for your PC (or Apple, spit) and get the game - simple :)
