Spain did not give Britain anything. Britain did not exist when Spain ceded Gibraltar to the English in the Treaty of Utrecht 1713.
It seems that many spanish and their former colonial servants (such as Argentina) do not know the obligations, rights and responsibilities of treaties they enter freely into to.
@briefboyz the british ilegaly invaded gibraltar, with help of dutch, while Spain was in civil war. They didnt enter the treaty freely. Argentina or Spain do not cede territories like christmass presents, only because invasions. So the fault is the invader, not the invaded.

Out of all the land and territory Spain ceded to other states it now wants Gibraltar back because this was 'stolen'.
