  • You are making a whole lot of sense my friend. McVie is a really a unique bassist. He has changes in his line like a guitar. But it still sounds like a bass, and has all of the qualities of a great blues sound. He really almost plays a rythm guitar with his bass, not easy to make that sound right. I can talk about this guy all day, he has impressed me for decades.

  • Christine sounds amazing and Stevie is cute as usual ;)

  • I wondered why Lindsey looked to be holding that pick so awkwardly, then I realised it was because he was holding a pick...

  • stevie n the top hat yeah nice christine a hell of singer~!!!! nice song~!!

  • Is there anything sexier than Stevie Nicks sporting a top hat?

  • John McVie is such an underrated bassist. All the attention went to Stevie, Christine and Lindsay, but John was always there laying down one superb bass line after another. Mic Fleetwood was underated as well. John and Mic were an incredible rhythm section.

  • @slw59 my thoughts exactly. If you took the bass away, the song would sound flat as hell and not groove like it does.

  • @slw59 Here here, well said my friend. I have played bass for 30 years and have always looked at McVie as a major inspiration. He is a fantastic bassist. Really, all of the attention went to Stevie, even Christine didn't quite get the props she deserved.

  • @1bls im a john mcvie devotee as well. such tasteful playing. one of the best rhythm sections ever, and it all goes back to playing the blues. play the twelve bar changes well, and you can make anything sound sweet.

  • Lindsey almost looks like Brian May from a distance.

  • Love the entire early years of Fleetwood mac

  • LB's got a pick! 1st time I've seen that

  • Christine McVie is visually and vocalling.Sigh!

  • i love the 70's, i was born in 70 and it was the greatest decade, going camping and going to magic mountain when it was more about family, not a bunch of thugs now,way different.

  • Scintillating ChristineStevieLindsey

  • lindsey....with a Pick?

  • @gavvino1 Good catch. Are you a guitar player?

  • She is definitely high or drunk, but performing well nonetheless. We need another baby boom! Anyone notice how the pinnacle of music came as the boomers were in their late teens and dropped off when they last of them hit their 30's? With such a large number of young people you are bound to have a large number of talented youth just by statistics alone. That is why there were so many LEGENDS from the era of 60s to the late 80s with most of them in the 70's.

  • @christo930 so you're saying we should have world war 3?

  • I just love her smokey/sexy voice and amazing lyrics.

  • Fleetwood Mac rocks! So many great songs! I miss the 70's because the best music came from that era!

  • Christine was really in top form here. Over My Head was her first big hit, she would have many that would follow. Strange seeing Lindsey using a pick here, I don't think he ever did it again during a live performance. It makes this performance unique.

  • Christine seems like a sweet lady.

  • where is Peter Green

  • Christine sometimes doesn't get as much credit as she deserves in this great band

  • I have read that Lindsey always uses a pick to practice. And I also read that during concerts his fingers actually bleed when he doesn't use a pick .Stevie is wonderful as usual.

  • Peter Green was and will always be Fleetwood Mac! Lindsey Buckingham, give it up dude!

  • Yuck! Nothing like the orginal FM

  • You kids go pull up some video's of The midnight special and Don Kirshner's rock Concert ,Damn i miss stay up to hear all the best artist and groups, When all our parents were voting in Nixon I had bumper sticker on my old chevy van saying ,,,Wolfman Jack for president .

  • Christine BLOWS Stevie away! he is sooooo bad ass!

  • @cmd14mac Thats dirty bro

  • This is the 1st time iv ever seen lindsey use a pick!

    AMAZING preformance!

  • fleetwood mac is always best , they re good

  • ick... this is horribly overdubbed. Christine sounds possessed. I have an untampered with version of this performance, unfortunately the quality isn't as good.

  • Oh Lindsey those ignorants made you play with a pick...

  • I love this song!

  • Christine McVie really shines in this song with her soft and lovely voice!

  • Incredible video - and yeah, Lindsey with a pic - very, very rare indeed. The harmonies on this song were exquisite.

  • stevie is the most beautifull little thing....love you stevie

  • I thought I was gonna grow up and marry Stevie when I was a little boy in the early eighties!!! LOL She is so fine!!!

  • Christine wrote the best songs!

  • ty very nice..

  • VERY RARE to see Lindsay playing guitar with a pick !!!

  • I was going to say the same thing. I think Mick pressured him to for certain songs. It certainly looks foreign in his hands but he does a fine job anyhow.

  • I just love Christine McVie. She was the backbone of that band!

  • WOW - I love this band - so many unique voices......

  • Nothing compared to the "Old" Fleetwood Mac!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh I adore them so much!!

    thanks PSuzie4share.....

  • Wow this is REALLY good!

  • Yeah, why not, that was the 70's, it was fun and Len Bias hadn't come around yet.

  • You're a fricken genius!

  • oh and of course you were there watching them do lines - good grief

  • It wwas magic back then when we viewed it all livr that eve...thank-you!

    Gemma

  • Yikes, that overdubbing sounds hideous. Christine sounds like she's a robot or possessed or something.

I'm almost positive I've seen a version of this performance that just featured their live playing with no vocal or instrumental overdubs.

  • i think it might be a recording

i just dont see lindsey buckingham using a pick live

  • I meant to say finger strumming, d'oh.

  • I read in an interview Lindsay Buckingham gave that he used a pick in the studio when he recorded their rhythem parts. I noticed from the credits that was the last song in that episode, maybe he had an issue with his fingers. Strats aren't always the best for finger picking either.

  • Wow! I have watched a ton of Fleetwood Mac footage and this is the first time I have seen LB play with a pick. Perhaps it's because of the guitar he's playing, I don't know.

  • Sounds great. And Lindsey's playing a very cool Strat!

  • disco4ever loves Stevie Nicks. Give me a thumbs up if you agree!

  • i love stevie & of course christine too!
