The public option is a plan to BUY insurance administered for the public by the federal government. The only thing that is free about it is that it's free from the death panels of the for-profit insurance companies.
It's great to see a video with so many people speaking up to support a public health insurance option. Someone close to me went bankrupt because of health care bills despite having an advanced degree and working full-time for a large corporation throughout her illness. I've been reluctant to start my own business because of concerns about getting and paying for health care. This isn't a Democratic or Republican issues, it's a human one.
So great to see so few people at this rally trying to force the government to steal from other people to give them "free" care.
Everything is free when you steal it.
1. Learn to pay your own bills
2. If you don't like "evil" insurance companies then stop buying their product. Nobody forces you to buy insurance from them.
