Thanks for the help I couldn't figure it out they kept exploding when I meleed twice it will help a ton the rest of the level is easy except after you kill the first scarab cause then you don't have a hornet. I've beaten all other levels on legendary solo even cortana the skull room is impossible but if you work at it for a few hours then you can get through I got to where I memorized that part of the level anyway thanks maverick haha sorry bout goose.

This part is so much easier if you hijack the anti-air wraith from the first part of the level.

Also, how do you record something on the xbox? I'd like to make my own legendary walkthrough, many of my ways are more efficient/easier than this guy's. Still a good walkthrough though and he gets the job done.

@Homeski Well, it's kinda complicated, but easy once you get used to it. So, first off, DO NOT BOARD the wraith. Instead, jump onto the wraith manually, and then, once you find a hatch-like thing on the wraith, melee it a few times, and you should see a brute. Melee him in the head ONCE. Now, hold down RB, and shoot him in the head with a BR or carbine. There's also a few videos on youtube that show you how to do it. Also, if you do it on The Covenant, don't kill the chieftain.

the one thing i hate about thease type of levels are the jackles, who won't stop shooting at you with their annoying plasma pistols and lair after lair sheilds. I'm sure that's what every player hates the most.

i normally save the laser for the chieftan with the hammer and i destroy the wraith with a ghost from far away.

i sitcdh my laser at the very start and then sniped the turret and the grunts and jackels near the shade and then used my laser on the shade. Im horrible at sticking dudes. but i didnt use any laser ammo at the start. :)

I do a a vehicle to vehicle jack for the wraith whick i will be in a fast vehicle and pass the wraith jump off my vehicle then board the wraith all in about 2 secs

i skipped the first bit on the third tower before. When i came back down the drones, the hunters, the brutes, the flood AND the elites were all fighting and i saw a infection form bring a drone down and turn it into one of those big spider things. It was hectic

Halo 1 is the best game ever. The maps are detailed but not too detailed for you to go hunting for covies. Halo 1 also has levels that make you wanna play it over and over again.

I killed almost every Wraith I encountered in this game with a Ghost. It takes a bit of time, but at least it's safe right? That damn jump in the first tower to skip everyone is bugging me at the moment though.

Oh God this Wraith was always an ass.

Everytime me and my friends did this on Legendary, I took a Beam Rifle and sniped the Gunner, sniped the explosive barrel next to the turret and then started drawing the Wraith's fire but on Legendary they have amazing accuracy so I usually got killed.

I then respawn and snipe the Prowler's gunners and eventually we succeed.

Prowler's are actually better than Warthogs against infantry (They accelerate faster and cut down people)

That's the only reason I jacked the AA wraith. They're so intensely hard to jack when they're moving, cuz you can hardly ever get a clear shot at the driver without boarding it. But being able to take down that other wraith in 4 shots makes it so worthwhile.

you know what works just as well for this area, is give the spartan laser to a marine and have him ride shotgun on the ATV. So long as you don't get yourself killed, the marine or ODSt will mop the floor with infinite laser ammo. This is also fun cause you haul so much ass

yea suicide grunts so fun!! One of my favorite H3 moments has when there was a suicide grunt starting the grenades, and I got it right next to a few ghosts and brutes. :D
