  • cool wish i could build this

  • @SystemsSnake hi. depends what kind.

  • NICE ONE !!"

  • uh, that's useful maybe i'll make mine!

  • R u the same guy that made the DIY Mescaline HcL video?

  • wow echt der totale hammer^^

  • Cool that you made that one yourself!

  • when you finished recording click on the audio file and go to: edit-render to disc

  • uhh, yes it can , easily. , just find the cd in lives workspace folder, mines drive d, tho it is different in other computers, drag a song into a clip, route that chanel to another audio chanel, armed it to record and there you go. it isnt exactly ripping in the normal sense, but perfect for one song or a loop.

  • pretty cool mate

  • Thanks.

Most of momentary foot switches feel smooth.. there is no such feeling like it's actually triggered (taptap). Anyway I will try.

  • momentary switches would have no issue of this since it sends the notes while it is being triggered but they feel smooth, not like they are actually TRIGGERED.

Can you tell me how you managed the problem?

  • one more question.

what type of buttons did you use? I mean I'm thinking of making it as a foot pedal so I'm gonna put footswitches instead of those gamepad-like buttons, but since there are 2 types of them, normal and momentary, I have to consider of this.

AFAIK if I put normal a button the midi note is PERSISTENTLY sent until the button is pushed again (same effect as holding the key down). How did you solve this?

  • Yes, one has to use MOMENTARY switches. I don't know what you mean by buttons feel smooth, my buttons are regular momentary switches, I have to press them all the way down for a midi signal do be send, so just lightly taping them wont work.

  • so you disassembled and put buttons instead of keys, right?

    Does this thing work flawlessly?

Did you have to match or use MIDI LEARN to assign functions to those buttons? How did you assign?

I'm thinking of doing same thing.. :P

  • yep, watch my other video, it shows the insides of the box. It works pretty well, it all depends how you solder the wires and what quality the buttons are. I use midi learn to assign buttons to functions in live.

  • Nice case!

I have buttons very similar to yours, but they are a crap horrible and without click! I hope yours are better.

  • amazing! wonder how you cut the case perfectly to fit everything tho!

  • I will make a video on how I made this controller.

  • Well....what does it do?

  • hi. Well, it controls Live or any other program that has midi assignment possibilities. I've made this controller so it looks like the channel strips in the ableton live mixer, so it's easy to control record, mute, solo and other buttons.
