I flashed my captivate back to stock and it does not have the 3 button combo. I rooted my phone using the super one click and was going to download rom manager, but it is nowhere to be found in my marketplace. How do i fix this and get rom manager so i can get ClockWorkMod?

@MobileTechVideos I just finished getting through my first Cappy brick and recovery, so I'm very apprehensive about trying anything new on the phone without doing some research first. My question is this: Can you use this 3-button fix with CM7 Nightlies already flashed? If not, do you know of any other methods or would I have to simply flash back to Eclair?

i did it and my phone has the 3 Button MOD for Download Mode...but after i was done the fucking thing wouldn't go back to home.....i had to take out the battery to reboot to its normal function.....if your going to make a tutorial video make sure you explain it from A to Z.... yes..yes your smart!!

dude u saved my ass again! I flashed with odin twice cuz of a bad rom flash n lost the 3 button combo. I was screwed cuz i couldnt go into dl mode... ur jig put my phone into dl mode cuz NOTHING else worked! I was able to fix it after, including fixing the 3 button combo.

i really wish i had come across MTV before i started flashing roms to my phone, as the 3 button method was removed from my captivate via the odin flash to stock, had i known that flashing CM7 would take off the use of adb or kies than i would have done this first

i just ordered a jig from your site because i'm in a jam, cant use the 3 button method for download mode and i'm not too fond of CM7 and i cant use anything else, thanks for making the jigs availible to all, they really are handy :)

Ok so my captivate came with stock 2.1. I updated to 2.2 and i think i have th three button fix because when it asked me on the instructions it worked. My question is will i still have this fix on 2.2. And if i odin back to 2.1 and my phone had the three button fix by default, will it go away?

Hey I 'tried' whether the 3-button combo works on my phone, and my phone has gone into this AT&T logo loop. So perhaps 20 times it loops and then one out of three times it boots up. Any ideas?

So my phone wont turn on now that I tried to install the 3 button combo. It decided to never reboot after I hit reboot.

Any ideas? I ordered a JIG so i never deal with this again but will that help me recover the phone or should I get it replaced?

@MobileTechVideos Its a captivate in Canada, It is under warranty but I work at best buy and have their warranty so I can just get a straight exchange within 5 minutes. I should do that I guess eh?

@luisconceicao88 In my opinion yes. It sounds like a hard brick which a JIG does not resolve. However, the JIG is amazing for when you need it or just for convenience if you flash a lot. If you were out of warranty I'm running a free offer to attempt to fix hard bricked Captivates but with a warranty just use the warranty.

@peruvianllama207 I can fix a hard brick for you as I offer a hard brick service or if you are in warranty, you may be able to get it replaced but they also may charge you anyhow. What device did you try this on? If Captivate, you must have had GB bootloaders in place.

How do I do this? When I pressed reinstall packages I get this error

I have a question.

I cannot get to recovery through the buttons but I can get into DL through holding the vol buttons and plugging in. Will this also fix me not being able to get into recovery?

I have CWM I can run the "Flash ClockworkModRecovery" successfully (current recov 1.5.1.2 latest recov 2.5.1.2) on my captivate, but I do not have the 3-button fix.zip file is not on my sd card. Is this an old video? I am running di11i's rom v5.6.

i have the 3 button fix  zip and installed the clockwork mod and i boot into recovery but i dont have the green menu like you. any suggestions

@Techgamehut Go to the downloads section of my website and download the Clockwork Mod Recovery zip file. Put in the root of your phone and rename it to update.zip and reboot into recovery reinstall packages and that will flash the cwm recovery and reboot to stock recovery one more time. Then reinstall packages once more and it will launch you into recovery for cwm. Now cwm recovery has been flashed as the default recovery.

@nelson1979 did you click the top button in CWM that says flash clockwork mod? After that, it'll reboot into recovery, then click reinstall packages once. It should bring you to the CWM recovery then.
