simian, guetta and deadmau5 are WAY BETTER than this shitty attempt of electro, just type it on youtube and you'd find lots of electro house mixes and greatest hits here.
In the same way guitars make "alternative music", and not people?
Seriously, though there are some experimental projects with letting computers make the music, most electronic music is made by people, using a computer.
Yes, Electro music is the future and came early in the early 80's, way before it's appropriate time, just look at early Depeche Mode, that was some of the best music, funny they called it Futurist/Electro-Disco, check out "New Life Rare" if you want to see a great song
I've always been intrigued with dark electro. I absolutely love it. I'm a drummer. I'd like to get into production. What's a good setup? Hardware modules or some software and a pc?
Clearly, the Germans were geniuses and pioneers, and electro music wouldn't exist without them... but at the time they made cold electronic music for intellectuals. The working class American black urban experience of people like Bambaataa, is what made electro warm and universal. They were not music professors, they were people that working-class kids anywhere in the world could relate to and feel where they were coming from.
Great documentary, refreshing to see artists that keep true to their LOVE of Electro. Nice to hear their opinions and facts and to pay respect to the People that have influenced them. Nice job IRIS!!

Lot of people get confused whit Electro house and Elecrto.. For these people this is real electro and Electro house comes not even close.

personally I think electro is a symbiosis of human and machine.
By no means at all is it just computers doing the work.
Anyone who thinks that is either incredibly naive or utterly ignorant.

For the love of god. Don't go down the software route.
It'll just frustrate you. Just pick up a nice simple Akai MPC and go from there.

excellent advice... a few old analogue synths wouldn't go a miss either...

To be fair, Germany DID invent electro music.
To quoth the Cyberian Knights (another great nuskool electro act):
"Miami is the home of the motherf**king bass
Detroit motor city is always in the place
Germany, can't you see, is where it all began
Kraftwerk and Bambaataa had a master plan"

actually bruce haak (an american) pre-dates kraftwerk and his haakula record is probably the first dark electro record

How did Bambaataa make electro "warm"? In the beginning, all they did was rip Kraftwerk's beats....
And black urban DJs were already spinning "Numbers", all Bambaataa did was jump on that and capitalize on it...

i have to disagree hawkwind then kraftwerk
