Question: what is the maximum speed you guys maintain during cruising altitude? and what happened when it said TRAFFIC?

@poupouche1990 we use during cruise the economical speed. it differs per flight but it should be very close to the average of mach.760 . this speed is only for the md80. other planes go faster or slower. when the tcas warned about traffic, is when an uncontrolled (VFR) aircraft was flying very close to the departure route, but what u heard was the TCAS system give a TA, it's a Traffic Advisory, basically just an alert, advising you to check out the situation. it shows you where the plane is.
