Ya know, Jesus entertained with storytelling and preached on the banks of the sea while his congragation had a picnic. I don't know who Campbell Morgan is but he is dead wrong. The message is sacred, the methods changes with time. Does your church use music that was popular 100 years ago like what's found in most hymnals? Why is music from that era "holy" but music of today is evil? Why not freeze time further back and sing The Hallelujah Chorus every Sunday?

I understand these seeker churches like to substitute the Gospel with entertainment but Christ was not an 'entertainer' as you say and I would be careful of what you are implying.There is only one thing that has spread Christianity and that is the preaching of the WHOLE' Gospel in season and out.Praise Him with whatever instrument today or one from 100 years ago but don't even suggest the Gospel is to be spread though entertainment.

Campbell Morgan is concerned, his foreseeing of failure seems to be nothing more than a fail itself. If "amusement" is not necessary to get people to listen to the gospel, then why was Jesus always eating with people? Why was he using metaphors and stories to illustrate his point?

That is not the Biblical definition of being saved. What is true is that most people that attend these seeker churches get their Christianity from song lyrics and not from the Gospel of THE Jesus.

I've opened my Bible, I've followed along word for word what is written in Scripture, and I've seen him use Scripture to back up his claims. The song lyrics from these songs come from Scripture. Need an example? Listen to "You Won't Relent." Then read Song of Songs 8:6-7. Then read ALL of Psalms. It's all a song. It's all lyrics. Don't limit God saying He can't use music.

I was shocked at the twisting of Scripture away from its meaning and into nobles story and no, Genesis is not about a bunch of 'jacked up kids' as he puts it. The end result of NewSpring's teachings are sin and rebellion. The final result is a church where there is no difference between it and the world except they attach the name "Jesus" to everything in sight for their own desires.

If you'll read your Bible independent of ANY teacher/preacher, you'll find that it's message had been twisted by most. There are many basic theology points where the traditional church has it all messed up. Go back and read, not with the bias of what someone has already told you, but with fresh eyes open to what GOD said, not a preacher. THAT is what Perry teaches.

But you are only viewing this church by this video and not by what is really important: if They are teaching by the word of God.

The Bible says "make a joyful noise unto the Lord". 2000 years ago the joyful noise sounds A LOT different to the joyful noise you probably prefer in your church. Do you REALLY think, a being of God's grace, magnitude and love is capable of even being concerned about the beat and instruments in music, when the message of that music is SOOO overwhelmingly praising and glorifying God?
