Overall, pretty good. The Lennon guy needs to stop add-libbing and sing the phrases correctly. The Paul guy sounds pretty good, but he's have trouble hitting the high notes. The band should tune down a half step. The George guy really should invest in a Rick 360-12.

The concert was in Manila, Philippines. They were only allowed to bring one guitar and hoping to be renting the Rick once they got there in Manila. But, it was hard to get over there or it was simply unavailable. Thanks for the comment though.

I agree with you. They are not a "cover band". When you're a "tribute" band you're expected to get it a close as possible to the original because that's what the people want to / come to hear.

I just saw a Beatlemania band last night in Oyster Bay, Long Island. I wasn't close enough to see faces, but from a distance they were convincing. And the vocals were awesome on most of the songs, especially 'Paul'. You'd swear it was McCartney himself singing! And he even played guitar left-handed, as the real Paul does (not like the one in this video). More authentic. And the 'Ringo' bobbed his head just like the real one. Very Beatle-like performance.

It's great that you enjoyed that Beatlemania band performance. You're truly a Beatles fan for observing those details on McCartney and Ringo and comparing them to The Apple Band. All of this and you don't even remember or even bothered to mentioned the name of the beatlemania band you saw and truly enjoyed. Oh well. The bottom line is that you enjoyed it. Hi. I called them Beatlemania because when they were introduced by the local village politicians they just called them "the cast from Beatlemania", so I'm really not sure who I saw! LOL. But they were still terrific! Now I wish I knew!

That's the name of the band - The cast Of Beatlemania. I know them. At some point some of their members play for The Apple Band as guest artist. They're great.

The Lennon player looks very old! you say OVER 30 years since his Broadway days , Hum ... So if he was in his late 20's or early 30's then, and the show ran 5 to 8 years. That puts him right around in his 60's .... He's TOO OLD ! Lennon was a young 24 on stage with the Beatles. Not a 60ish year old man. And paul needs to drop a few and looks like he is struggling to reach some notes as well .... no offense, sorry. But they sound pretty good besides that.

David Leon has aged after all these years but you can't deny that he is one of the best in the business. Remember, they are not the Beatles. Just an illusion and simply here to entertain. As you mentioned, they sound pretty good and that's what counts the most. Thanks for the comment.

David Leon is the best.....just saw him this weekend in "She Loves You" in Bridgeport CT. with Alan LeBoeuf as Paul......great show!!......They both have over 30 years of experience since their Broadway days...
