My family ended up returning that dog to a rescue center where a specialist adopted it for personal training. They have since found another Great Dane and he fits in with them like a glove!
I feel your pain. I have dog destruction in my home too. Get some professional assistance figuring out what went wrong. Obviously your dog is not safe in that space at this point.
